Progressives announce peaceful protests

Time for the people to rise up and throw out this corrupt quisling regime, the evidence that there was fraud is absolutely overwhelming. Had the DS yellow traitors lost and found the same type of evidence of fraud, they would be calling for a revote and annulment of elections, as would the NATO war criminals who control the DS regime. Isn't it interesting how Hillary, or Joe Biden, or Merkel, or Westervelle, or other corrupt western windbags are completely silent on this fraud?? Yes, their silence is deafening, and speaks volumes.
I say it's because they support this fraud, and are desperate to give the quislings another 5 years to give away Kosovo and sell all of Serbia's crown jewels for cheap.
I certainly hope another revolution happens out of these protests, Serbia needs it badly.

I'm not sure of the legality of party protests in the middle of an election.
The realpolitik behind this move is obvious though - to drum up support for SNS for the second round of voting for Serbian president.

If Toma manages to be elected it won't matter whether the vote rigging claims turn out to be false.

All is fair in Serbian politics - the people are collateral damage, misled and manipulated...

What does Nicolic want tell us?

1. Without the 'projected' manipulations, there would have been no need for a second round, instead he would already have be president (with more than 50% instead of his current 25%)?

2. Or that: Either Dacic (14%) or Kostunica (7%) would have been on 2nd place instead of Tadic(25%) and would compete with him now?

In what kind of dream world is this guy living, I wonder. Those statements are surely not helpful for his credibility, even if his accusations should turn out to contain some truth.

Maybe Nikolic should chuck another diet-tantrum like last time.

The only ethnic cleansing that was EVER administered on the territory of ex-Yugosavia, was committed against Serbs by Croatia, "Bosnian" Muslims and Albanians... Not only once, but 3 TIMES in the past 90 years... The last one being the complete CLEANSING of the ENTIRE Serbian population (less a couple of hundred elderly) from the illegal boundaries of today's Croatia. You have a lot of guts to make such accusations. You want to talk genocide, then talk facts not here-say or "politically correct" non-sense! There is no reason for Nikolic to participate in the second round. There will just fake results again. Boycott everything until these elections are nullified!

You hit the nail on the head, and credibility is something that Nikolic has always lacked. Maybe fraud occurred, but somehow I think that Serbs could probably benefit from that in the long run. I bet a lot of Americans wish that the Democrats had outdone Republicans in the Dirty Tricks department back in 2000.

Maybe -- or maybe people in the West aren't that interested. Given the utter lack of familiarity with Balkan affairs I routinely encounter in America, I tend to think it's the latter.

I suppose a lack of public interest on a specific foreign policy issue isn't always reflected in the level of effort on a country's diplomatic front, but in this case, it's hard to imagine Western governments being all that invested in the internal affairs of Serbia. They simply have much bigger fish to fry...a horrible economy, the rise of China, a presidential election in the US...Serbia just doesn't even show up on the radar.

Notice Nikolic's claims only surfaced once it was announced that a coalition had been formed, and the parties were throwing their support for Tadic in the runoffs.
#2 OSCE had declared the elections free, believe OSCE or Nikolic? I doubt many people wasted any time comtemplating that. #3 do you really think they were worried about who was winning the elections? Kosovo is gone and they know that and are not worried about it. #4 I doubt that 99.5% of Americans knew Serbia had an election, no one I know knew, and out of that .5% the majority did not even care.

Nikolic is desperate now that the SPS has agreed on a new period of coalition support for Tadic. He has spread these acquisitions to discredit Tadic, but has not delivered any evidence to the election commision! It is obvious this is a last attempt to influence the elections in his favour.
