Better selling a skull in Bosnia than selling organs in Kosovo :)

During the war Bosnian Muslim teens were playing football with killed Serbs' skulls, according to Serbian documentation of war crimes. There was also a Muslim army commander who was decapitating Serbs and then throwing their bodies in the Kazani gorge.

The kinds of comments B92 allows on this site is absolutely shameful. Better a skull than the organ trade? Really? We're ranking crimes against humanity now? Absolutely despicable.

@ ida: your outrage should be tempered by the reality that close to 50,000 Bos Moslems were killed in the first 9 months of the conflict in horrendous circumstances, culminating in the massacre of 8,000 at Srebrenica at the end ( so called) of the conflict.

Your outrage should be intensified by the atrocities committed by people who believed that the more blood spilt, the greater the power of separation between neighbours.

Your outrage should be amplified by the abandonment of the political process to resolve political solutions replacing it with violence and exploitation of power and further consumed by the awareness of the deliberate interference by outside forces into the conflict- imagine for a moment what the conflict would have been without the involvement of the JNA or rather Serbo-NA from 1991 pre-war to 1995 end of war. The battles would have been fought with flung fildzans and coffee grounds and shouts and eventually jokes and song.

Your outrage should be suppressed by the chilling realisation that rumour does not bespeak the truth but reveals manipulation of the truth.

Consider for a moment the possibility that what the figures painfully tell us is that a great crime was committed upon a cultural group, a great crime was committed upon a gender, a great crime was committed upon those who believed that living with differences is a welcomed lifestyle, a great crime was committed upon those who believed that one can shout and scream at another who in the heat of an argument may not agree with you but at the end of the argument can still join you in a coffee and together walk safely home. Such has been denied.

What values do you live your life by? What values do you want your children to hold true? This is the ongoing question from Bosnia for its neighbours within and without and the introspective EU.

That's not true. The majority of Bosnian Muslims killed were MILITARY, not civilian. Their army was 200,000!!!
And they were known for STAGING attacks - this was WITNESSED by UN personnel who were LIVING there during the war. I've read detailed testimony which shows things are much different than what the mainstream media pushed.

You are TOO GULLIBLE to all the lies and propaganda of this SET UP war which was indeed pushed by key NATO countries who were using separatists to break up Yugoslavia at the Serbs' expense. The Serbs were the largest ethnic group and had many people (constituent people at that) living in the set-to-be "independent" statelets.
The constant murders and ethnic cleansing of Serb civilians - which began at the very start of the war (and some events even before the wars "officially started) - was suppressed strongly by the mainstream media. Most people - even Serbs away from those areas - are clueless about all the tortures and killings going on against Serbs.

Census records show the Serb population falling most of all.

@Ida- Obviously your secret non mainstream source overlooks the RDC's findings, the UNHCR's reports the RS 2004 Report, the sworn testimonies of hundreds ( there has not been one civil action to sue any for false testimonies as is the right under European law), the living memory of thousands, the political awareness of Tadic, the common sense of anyone who can cross-reference historical writings.

The mythical army of the 200,000 green berets that Karadzic paraded in his cross examinations remains a mythical creation used effectively for his propaganda and justification to wreak terror whilst contradicting himself in the same breath by pointing out that 'the Moslems have nothing and we will destroy them in a blink if that is what they want'. You confuse the Serb composition within Yugoslavia with their ethnic subdivision within the republics; that is a Bosnian Serb is called such for a reason. Look at the demographics with this in mind- as to the census- which one exactly ? 1991? Or the registry of voters 1997? Neither of which support your claims. So you obviously know of another non-mainstream census.

Serbs in Bosnia are not the lost tribe of Serbs from Serbia. If they have a problem with their rights in BiH then they don’t solve it by killing their opposition and digging up the borders and transplanting them elsewhere. It is a painful thought to dwell upon that perhaps the history you call lies and propaganda woven by western anti Serb interventionists may hold greater truths than your counterclaims. There is a simple way to test it- go to BiH visit some cemeteries form the RS and elsewhere read the headstones/ nishan read the ages, the dates, the place of death- if you wish to be more circumspect, take a copy of the Bosnian Book of the Dead and cross reference the entries with your cemetery excursion- it's a simple test but a chilling conclusion.
