The rise of the neo nazi groups in Greece is just a repeat of the pattern that we've seen emerging all over Europe in the last few years.High unemployment, the loss of the Greece's economic sovereignty and the effects of a massive and unprecedented rise in illegal immigration(probably the main reason for their support)have provided a platform to them to flourish and make a political capital.
Despite the rise of the far right in Europe, political parties of the left and right have abstained from engaging in any aknowledgement on the negative effects of immigration on working class voters and the disastrous consequences of monetary union ,which means that instead of a sensible debate, free from racism and xenophobia, you see neo-nazi parties gaining support.
I think it's conceivable that we might see noe-nazi parties both in Greece and Europe ending up in positions of government not in the distant future. With regard to Greece I think the immediate period could be very unstable resulting in a violent slugging out between left and right.
