"Obviously the ones who did not vote would automatically support the opposition"

Actually, it's not at all "obvious". It could every bit as much be dissafected LDP voters, siting it out this time. There are lots of reasons in every country where people choose not to vote. Serbia's not special in this regard either. Also, like in other countries, there was a "submit an empty ballot" protest movement. This came from liberal circles. So, by the same mechanisms you make your baseless assumptions, I could say that the 5% of spoiled ballots are from dissaftected LDP voters, putting their support at 12%, more than double Kostunica and quintuple Dveri.

Point is twofold. One. You simply cannot assume that 40% of those who chose not to vote, REALLY REALLY in their hearts think just like [insert your favourite flavour of politics]. It's absurd. Only more absurd is turning around as using that made-up-fact as evidence that Serbia (where you do not live), is the way you say it is and I can't possibly know anything about Serbia (where I do live).

Now finish getting ready for school, son. Mom's almost got your lunch ready to go.

Obviously the ones who did not vote would automatically support the opposition. That is precisely what I am saying. The ones who did not vote clearly were against the EU-fanatic agenda but saw the opposition as less than desirable. That is exactly the problem, the alternative is not appealing and that is their fault. Which is why if Nikolic and Kostuncia care about a Serbo-centric ideology should retire immediately. Putin's United Russia party is an ideal model. I am not deciding what is Serb and what isn't but what I can say is your type has had its say for 12 years. Your belief that doing whatever the Germans tell us to do is going to bring us German wealth. EU membership means Euro's falling from the sky. Well instead, I would rather do what Germans or Dutch did for their country than what they tell US we should do. The diaspora would bring just that, positives from the West without actually having to listen to them in order to modernize our country.

@Amer
You are wrong about the Serbian diaspora. The reality is most of the Serbs outside the Balkans are refugees that were ethnically cleansed from Republika Srpska or Republika Srpska Krajina. This means they almost certainly do not have Serbian citizenship and thus cannot vote. And also you have to register 2 months in advance just to be able to vote so for you to paint the picture that the Diaspora does not care about Serbia you are wrong. In fact you are just saying such a thing because the Diaspora is our only hope for Serbia to set it self light-years ahead of its neighbors in everything from the improvement of living standards to the military. Don't sleep on us, our biggest enemy is ourselves though. And that is a real threat. If we cannot agree then we are doomed and if we can, then those praying for our extinction will have a hard time coping with a strong and independent Serbia.

I'm sure Kosovo is with you on this if SNS-SPS-DSS manage to stop Serbia from becoming an EU member before Kosovo.

Dačić and his Communist party king makers Slobodan Milošević his mentor would of been so proud. The more things "change" the more of the same old nonsense in Serbia. I predict 5 years more Serbia stagnating and going back wards economically. Dačić will bring Serbia down and revered it back to the worst of Serbia's politics which will be a detrimental to the region but most of all too Serbia. You get the leaders you deserve don't cry for Serbia its their many unwise choices that has brought them to the prepossess of many disasters.

Saw a smart comment on the portal, it read Serbia has overwhelmingly voted for SNS or DS. These two creating a coalition would check each other in gov't, split portfolio's to their ministers strengths and save heaps of Gov't money financing jobs for smaller party constituents. Take the blackmailing out of the question and share power. Realistically your ideologies are not that different on major issues or on a magority of minor ones especially compared to the minor parties. Think Serbia first guys.
