...and now, the 'horse trading' begins. How sad though, that so many of the beasts on offer are probably ringers, accompanied by not a few old nags with their teeth polished and their coats cunningly re-touched, just for the occasion. By the way, I must confess to some sneaking admiration for Tommy Nick's courageous (although less than subtle) use of eye-liner and mascara on his election posters. If this was a subliminal message of support to the LGBT community, then well done sir - about time!

Even tough I am an SNS-DSS supporter I have to admit that SPS ministers like Bajatovic as a Chairman of Srbijagas (turned around the company Srbijagas and succesfully bought other privatized companies and got them going),Ivica Dacic as minister of the Interior did a great job and are certainly the most competent people in this government!

DS cadres are largely a bunch of corrupt carrierists, selling positions, employing their people in the administration and doing nothing for the economy !

I think there exsts a good chanche for a SNS-SPS-DSS coalition, the voters of SPS are certainly more symphathetic to the SNS-DSS people than to the DS !

Of course the real winner here is SPS, who are in position of kingmakers and can have their pick of the jobs on offer.

Dacic has obviously succeeded in his strategy. But do I think that he or his party are competent? Only in my wildest dreams. They always were a bunch of careerists in the communist and then the socialist party and this remains the case - not that other Serbian parties are any different.
