This was a UN-brokered deal that the Muslim side (as always) reneged on. The deal was to allow the soldiers surrounded in the barracks to leave once Izetbegovic was handed over. Serbs handed Izetbegovic over but then the Muslims started attacking the retreating troops. And this is also evidence that the Bosnian Muslims did have a lot of firepower and ammunition and bombs right from the start of the war. A Scottish mercenary who fought with the Croat forces HOS in Bosnia said the Muslim had an ENORMOUS amount of explosives.

Well this text fails to mention that on that day president of the republic of bosnia was taken prisoner by the same JNA which also mounted its largest attack on the building of presidency and parlament of bosnia in order to take city of Sarajevo and bosnia as whole.

So the JNA wanted to create as much damage as possible in Sarajevo right before they were retracting? Then this attack makes some sense.

Idiocracy

pre 12 godina

Every court that this went to it was found that JNA was a legitimate target as they were in a foreign nation trying to take over the presidency building. What amazes me is that revisionists still try to pitch this into a war crime when this actually is against Serbian interest. You are constantly proving that JNA was involved in the war in Bosnia, that this isnt a civil war but a war of aggression. That you committed the longest siege in modern history on Sarajevo.

The ensuing two days of blood in Sarajevo resulted in 42 dead JNA troops, while 73 were injured and 215 taken prisoner.

Cry me river. JNA troops???

Serbs aren't bosnians Nikolle? Is there any point of asking you who you think they are? Visitors? Aliens? Squatters? You out do yourself.

we've come to see how peace loving Serbs are

Yes, Macedonia is currently witnessing how peace loving Albanians are.

Nikolle, Albanians are not peace loving either. They are the ones responsible for the war in Kosovo. They murdered police and inocent civilians in an attempt to draw Milosevic into their crap. Unfortunately, Milosevic did respond, and Clinton jumped at the chance to play hero.

yes, Bosnians wanted to incite Serbs to war. you know this now of course, not then. the Croats wanted to do the same, as did those naughty Albanians and each time Serbs fell for it. never your fault, no no, we've come to see how peace loving Serbs are

This massacre of the JNA soldiers was a war crime and the victims were from many Yugoslav nationalities. It is a pity that Bosnian and Albanian fascists still preach hatred and dismiss the suffering and atrocities carried out by their own side against Serbs and loyal Yugoslavs.

Aleks

The same happened with the Tuzla column.

The bosnian moslems have the ultimate defense that cannot be proved "They shot first and we responded".

Either way, there is a pattern or irregular forces attacking the JNA as it pulls out in line with UNSC resolutions, not to mention surrounding barracks to hold them hostage to get hold of weapons. Each time no-one is found guilty or released on appeal (Ilija Jurišić), bosnian moslems and croats refusing to face up to their own crimes.

Here's what General MacKenzie wrote about the Sarajevo attack (old b92 article):

Of course insults were shouted as the Bosnians have been raised on the mythology that there were no Serbian victims at all. The crime of killing soldiers, many unarmed as they withdrew, has never been punished. And of course, no one question why the order was given to attack the withdrawing column. It is quite clear that the Bosnian's wanted to incite the Serbian people to war thereby becoming themselves "victims" and getting Western support for their war.
