Russia supported Milosevic yet in the end he ended up in the Hague. Russians today are supporting Assad, and Syrian people tired of his dictatorship want to know how to kick him out. When Russia starts supporting you, your end is near.

The Kosovo Liberation Army must rank as one of the most successful guerrilla movements in modern history. In the nineteen months following its first public appearance, the KLA had all but fulfilled its aims - having managed to subcontract the world's most powerful military alliance to do most of its fighting for it. After all, it hardly matters how the Serbs were ejected from Kosovo, what matters is that they have been booted- and if it had not been for the existence of the KLA they would still be there. On 9 June, NATO and Yugoslavia signed what was called the Military-Technical Agreement in Kumanovo in Macedonia. This amounted to an effective Serbian capitulation. Ironically, it had been at the Battle of Kumanovo against the Ottoman Turks in 1912, that Serbia had regained Kosovo, lost to them some five hundred years earlier. Enjoy your "victory" Serbia:)

you've failed to understand the war. For Kosovars, households sent their sons to fight against the Serbian oppression in Kosovo. When UCK disbanded majority if not all of those fighters returned to their daily lives.

Advice from KLA? I always wondered where were those 20 000 + fighters that Hasim Taci was talking about before war, they were nowhere until NATO arrived. But even as a serb i respect thousands of KLA fighters that were brave enough to fight.

US is supporting the rebels who are extreme Islamists. That much is evident. All we have to do is ask how the Christians of all the countries which rebels America supported are doing.
Naturally they would use the same formula.

The Syrian opposition is seeking advice from a former member of the ethnic Albanian KLA - "now a politician" - on "how to overthrow Bashar al-Assad's regime".

1. Start a war for independence using what ever tactics (dirty) you can come up with. Ensure that the people fighting for you are dressed as civilians.

2. When you start to lose claim Al-Assad is committing genocide and that tens of thousan....No...Hundreds of thousands are being slaughtered.

3. Start the ethnic cleansing and organ harvesting of everyone and everything that does not support your cause.

4. When you have your arses kicked cry for NATO to intervene so you do not get wiped off the face of the Eart......Oh wait, they cant...NATO has been blocked!

2nd Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Kosovo averted!

Well, they certainly asked for help from the best!
Amazing, how a young state like Kosovo already is helping in international crisis regions to get rid of dictators and killers.
I hope they pay them back with the recognition, as soon as Assad leaves for good or joins the likes of Hussein, Ghaddafi and Milosevic.

Is Assad taking advice from Serbia too, in using mercenaries, police and the army?

The advice they seek is to how to con the international community into intervening on their behalf.

Step 1: Cause mayhem
Step 2: Get your ass kicked
Step 3: Run to a first world power and beg for help
Step 4: Avoid the bombs falling indiscriminately
Step 5: Ride in with the first world army to the area just conquered and call yourself liberators
Step 6: Run for high office and hide your crimes behind political and diplomatic immunity
Step 7: Rewrite the history books to make yourself look strong and superior

"...KLA called terrorist group by the Serbian governement..." Of course they will be called like that. Bashar is doing the same as Milloshevic....it is tipical dictator's language.

Look what is happening to "peaceful" Vojvodina....still under Serbia....and they lost their chance for ever...

Here's your advice, call NATO. The Libyan rebels can vouch for that as well.

Regarding Asaad, in 1-2 years he will share same fate like Ghaddafi or Ben Ali. Wishing the freedom loving people of Syria all good for liberation from that fascist regime around the Baath Party.
