NATO, they can say whatever they like, but will this government be returned?
(Peggy, 26 April 2012 23:21)

North Kosovo residents can say whatever they like, but whether the current Serbia's government will be returned or not does not depend on them since North Kosovo ressidents are less than 1% of Serbia's electorate.

Goran Bogdanovic, Serbian Minister for Kosovo, confirmed that talks with the OSCE on organising the elections were underway.

“We are willing to accept the OSCE’s help but in no way can the OSCE organise the presidential and parliamentary elections, and that is the dispute,” Bogdanovic said.

According to the minister, many things have been agreed, including the number of polling stations and constituencies as well as buildings where the voting will be held. They have also agreed on symbols at pollings stations, which will be the OSCE symbol and not the emblem of the state of Serbia.

“But we did not agree on the key issue – who should organise it,” he added.

Kosovo authorities have also they will back voting in Serbian presidential and general elections taking place in Kosovo – if it is not organised by Serbia directly or by local Serbian-run institutions.

Kosovo’s President Atifeta Jahjaga and Prime Minister Hashim Thaci have released a statement saying that they had nothing against the OSCE or Council of Europe hosting Serbian legislative and presidential elections in Kosovo.

Nato,
Why is it when the former Serb president Boris Tadic said he will not recognize kosovo* you insult him and when he says kosovo* elections will be null and void you praise him. To bad for you he resigned from office and the new president will definitely recognize the local elections held in KiM on May 6th. You can take that to the bank!

Robert1899 - Only the government of Serbia can legitimize election "outcomes". The government of Serbia said the results will be null and void. We don't even need the Albanians to interfere because the results of any elections wouldn't matter. It would be purely symbolic if they had elections. Thats fine by me because i know Serbia wont accept the results. Even if by chance you setup 1 polling station who cares? Results wont matter according to your wholesome country of Serbia. Have fun with that. Wait. Im going to setup a polling booth in my apartment here in Chicago and vote in Serbian elections. The results of that would be the same as those in Kosova. Useless and null and void:)

Ouuf! My head hurts already from the nonsense. There will be no local elections in Kosova. Just wait and see. I'll be sure to remind you of that in future posts:) Your own leaders in Belgrade said there will be no elections and the outcomes will be null and void. You can't have it three ways. You want to be "Serbia" but you don't want to follow Serbian orders from Belgrade. You want to hold elections in Kosova even thought your leaders say the results will be null and void.

Northern Kosovo municipalities of Zubin Potok and Zvečan have announced that they will hold the local elections on May 6.

That is what is needed...

It doesn't take a genius to work it out. If OSCE is expecting Pristina to organise and Pristina expects OSCE etc well the obvious reason is.... wait for it.......

We don't give a ______ what Pristina think about holding the elections :)

We don't need to ask what we can or cannot do in Serbia!

Pristina need only to be concerned about basic hygiene, sanity and other OH&S issues arising from the poor living standards in the city.

According to Priština-based Albanian language daily Koha Ditore, “the lack of legal basis is preventing OSCE from organizing the Serbian elections”.

So what? The lack of legal basis doesn't prevent the state of Kosovo from existing at all.
