Protesting farmers unblock some roads

The old and the new road from Pančevo to Belgrade and the Old bridge over the Tamiš River are open for the traffic on Wednesday evening, it has been reported.

Wether or not anyone realises it, this is the true fight for the future of Serbia. Will Miskovic, etc, get their way and turn agriculture in Serbia into the ecologically disasterous mass production of inferior foodstuffs, mostly for export, or will the farmers win and manage to protect the mixed farming and smallholds that produce some of the best vegetables, etc in the world?

It's also a pretty clear indication of how serious the DS are in their commitment to developing small and medium sized businesses and family enterprises.
