I have some good news for those who have not heard of the United Nations Six Point Plan for Kosovo, and there is a News Item on it here on this Website.
On 18 February 2009, B 92 published the following News Article, and I have made it easy for everyone, because the following paragraph is the Article, where even Albanian commented on the News Article.
NEW YORK -- Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic says that he has received confirmation that the UN remains committed to the full implementation of the six-point plan in Kosovo. After speaking with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Jeremic stated that the secretary general intended to report in March to the Security Council on the plan’s implementation. “We are still dedicated to the plan and will work actively with the UN to implement all elements of the six-point plan on the ground, and it’s very important for the UN, as the secretary general told me, not to withdraw its presence in Kosovo or its role in defining Resolution 1244, nor in putting into practice the secretary general’s plan,” he said. According to a UN statement after the meeting between Ban and Jeremic “they discussed a dialogue between the UN and Belgrade about the six-point plan, and the continued engagement of Belgrade and the transitional UN administration to Kosovo.” “The UN secretary general confirmed his dedication to continued cooperation with Belgrade to apply the provisions of his Nov. 24, 2008 report,” added the statement. Discussions about the six-point plan’s application will continue on Thursday, when Jeremic will meet in Belgrade with UNMIK Chief Lamberto Zannier. The six-point plan, which was adopted in the Security Council at the end of November, is meant to enable Kosovo Serbs broader autonomy in the areas of justice, police and customs. It would also enable better protection of cultural and religious heritage and improve transportation and communication.
