"Well Steven without any names of reliable polling agencies your friends info is not much good.
You should know that all major political parties in Serbia carry out internal polls and research, sometimes they may choose to publish the results, other times not. "

That's what i said. That was research done by mayor Party...not the opposition one you know. Results were devastating to them, so they've decided not to publish. Of course that you can not draw conclusions from that kind of research but you can see people's opinion at least in selected group of interviewees.

"You might choose to make your opinion a little more scientific than to listen to one friend who supports SNS though. Much better would be to compare the polling agencies previous predictions to actual election results."

FYI...my friend is member of that same mayor Serbian political party so...i was surprised by his fear of loosing the elections especially since he told me that "dirty campaign" by Democrats isn't showing the results.

"You might also want to consider another fact - there is a body of expert opinion that believes that low poll figures may actually motivate the supporters of that party to go out and vote."

Couldn't agree more...

@bganon
Of course it's fake! Percents in favor of Serbian Progressive Parties are much higher. I can't tell you where you can check this, but a friend of mine, from Serbia,was involved in a research interviewing 5000 subjects thorough Serbia (study financed by one of the ruling Parties) and outcome was classified as a sort of "secret". According to him, and I don't have any doubts in his honesty, Progressives will win 43%...

According to my Calculations, This would create a parliament of

SNS - 89
DS - 75
SPS - 31
LDP-SPO - 16
DSS - 15
SRS - 15
Independents - 2
Ethnic Minorities - 7

Serbia will have new President after elections. I'm in daily contact with most of my friends in Serbia and they told me that Serbian Progressive Party will win in-spite of "fake" researches conducted and published in daily media in Serbia.
