Commparison - a terrible comparison. Half a million defenceless Serbs, men , women and children, compared to 2000 members of a Muslim mujahideen brigade. Sorry, nul points.

I am glad to hear this kind of comment from Croatia - if Croatia is to be in the EU it must accept the evils done in the past.

Germany was the heartland of great evil - and Germany was defeated in war. I wonder if it would have been better for Croatia to suffer a defeat rather than think that it had won in the context of 'Storm'.

As much as I am very pleased to read the comments hera about Jasenovac, I am also inclined to say that Croatia should further review and finish the accounting for the more recent crimes.

Likewise for all the parties that fought their wars with substantial disregard for any attempt to fight with honour.

“Oblivion and denial represent the biggest dangers for democracy, freedom and humanity and that is why we must not allow the things that happened in Jasenovac to be forgotten,” he said at the commemoration which was attended by Croatia’s top officials.

Wise words. But it shouldn't be only about Croatia and Jasenovac, but about Croatia and 'operation storm', too. Similar goes for Serbia/Bosnian Serbs and Srebrenica. There's still a lot of denial of horrible crimes everywhere, and even worse, people even consider the criminals who committed all these crimes as 'heroes' or 'defenders'.
