Opposition leader advocates two-party system

Its no wonder the large countries like USA and Great Britain have 2 party sistem. Its the best way for party control and accountability. Now, there are a lot of parazitic parties that can blackmail large parties. Just take a look at current government, there are 17 parties in it!

BELGRADE -- Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) presidential candidate Tomislav Nikolić has said he wants a two-party system established in the country.

This leader and his party have good ideas , and also they have will to change thing. On the other side we have curent goverment who whant to continue with corruption and bribery.

If you have two-party system it is much easier to run country.With hundred small party you have big problem,everybody pull on their own side especially those who do not want the success of a party that is in power and that just lead to failure of country.

Two party systems are awful! God forbid that we get such an awful system that basically only the US has.

He's doing nothing other then trying to secure the future of his own political party, in the twenty year history of Democratic Serbia/Yugoslavia, you would see five Parties, (soon to be six) have come first or second in elections. Trying to establish a two party system would destroy real democracy and replace it with an American style dictatorship.

Pascale, that is just ridiculous. Keep in mind that most of those what you call hundred parties - are not in parliament. It's good to have several parties in parliament because then those people GET REPRESENTED! I am shocked how the commentators here do not care about representation. When you have only two parties it basically eliminates many people from even wanting to vote. It reduces people to voting for the lesser of two stupid things. People want at least a third opinion! Just look at Canada, the third party turned into the second biggest in parliament. That is a great thing, and that is what democracy is about. Those who want two parties may as well want one party. The same stupid logic applies.

I sincerely hope that this man has only one wish in life: To stay recorded in the pages of history as someone who made Serbia finally lifted from the mud!He is achieved himself in many fields, as husband, father, grandfather, politician loved and hated politician, a politician who is 3 years created the biggest party.I really want to believe and I hope I'm right for my child and myself?
