Beautiful visit greeted with much indignation by the Democratic Party, the statement of Mayor Dragan Djilas have one big contradiction to what the Democrats speak in media every day

that is the question...

Nice way to earn 100,000 dollars not including expenses.... I wonder whether it was monopolist Beko that paid for it?

Surprise, surprise look all the Serbs commenting here loving an American. We K-Albs told you guys that Americans are the one (except for Oceangreen here)but you said no, now all the love. I see change for the better among Serbs commenting here loving our friends is a good start.

I wonder what Gavrilo Princip would think of all this. Gavrilo Princip was the Bosnian Serb teenager who assassinated Archduke Ferdinand and his wife in Sarajevo in 1914. This act had massive consequences for the world. It shaped the world we live in today.

I think Mr Giuliani has always loved the Serbian people and respects them very much.

no sum of money could be put in my face to welcome ANYONE who contributed or supported the bombing of Serbia 1999. Never forget, or you lose your integrity and honour. Serbs have lived through tougher times before and we don't need dirty money. There are plenty of American investors who did not support the bombing of Serbia - it is a sin to open arms to those who attacked us.

It is better to be poor and carry good values than rich with dirty money and no integrity. Remember your forefathers and what they fought for. We are only here today because of them.

To my knowledge the most popular mayor of New York, known for hisuncompromising fight against corruption and crime, and theunconditional support he gave to the citizens after the attacks of 11September and that is exactly what should we learn from this man

It is time to toast and dance with wolf just like President Tardic has been doing. When you fight wolf alone, there is only one single outcome; When you try to make friend with wolf, you add one more possibility, he might fight for you.

Can someone please remind me, is Djilas a democratic or a radical candidate?
(Max, 20 April 2012 15:43)

Indeed, it's like the world turned around: An American politician visiting the SNS, and a mayor from the DS is talking anti-american propaganda.

Some politicians do not have moral values. You're blaming Giuliani for the existence of IDP's and refugee camps. But what have the Democrats done in the last decade to solve their problems? Nothing. The only visible results are thanks to Vlade Divac and his foundation.
So, using the refugees to criticize Giuliani, meaning Vucic, is despicable

Indeed it is wrong that those who supported the bombing of the Serbian people should be in anyway involved with the Serbian election. However I have to agree with the numerous comments below regarding Djilas' hypocrisy, his DS party has been in bed with the Americans for a very long time, as someone mentioned below, Biden was invited to Belgrade by Tadic, head of the DS. Biden being probably the most vocal in support of the bombing but also having made numerous offensive statements there, he should have been strung up in Belgrade.

Djilas is such a hypocrite. He will do anything just to stay in power and spread a little bit a hatred. Including driving away investors. Its clear that DS is no longer democratic option in Serbia.

Give me a break mr. Djilas. When you were getting money and political support some 13 years ago from the same that bombed you, you didnt mind. When Biden and Hilary Clinton came to visit you, you forgot about the bombs she blessed, or Joe's cordial hug with Hashim Thaqi. Now when Giuliani talks with your opponent, all of the sudden you amnesia is gone and you remember the bombing. Such hypocricy.

All you need is to hear from me "Hypocrite"...Wasn't former German Counselor present in Serbia a couple years ago at Democrat Party convention? And he was one of big shot in chain command when Allied forces bombed Serbia... Wasn't Vice President of US Joseph Biden visit to Serbia Government one of the BIGGEST visits according to Government of Serbia, the same government that Mr. Djilas belongs to. This man should ask himself: "I am starting to act and speak like that guy in Hague, Mr. Seselj. And one more thing...Mr. Djilas and his Democrat Party, didn't mind when they received a large sum of money, to help them overthrew Milosevic, from that same guy in 1999...Say no more...

This is unacceptable that current mayor of Belgrade have hate speech towards people who want to help and support development of Serbian capital.

The hate speech that Djilas propagates is a step back for Serbia. These populist statements are just... low and unethical. This just shows that he is willing to do anything just in order to get couple of votes away from Vucic.
