Interior minister: Police acted without my knowledge
Ivica Dačić says he was not informed about <a href="http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics-article.php?yyyy=2012&mm=04&dd=10&nav_id=79712" class="text-link" target= "_blank">an arrest operation launched yesterday</a> in connection to the 2008 incidents when foreign embassies were targeted.
The important thing is he knows how to handle albans.

Ironic you use those words. I was watching a documentary of events leading up to the war in Kosovo. On there Milosevic said almost the same thing but I think (not a direct quote) his words were --we Serbs know the only way to deal with those Albanians.
There is not a doubt in my mind that Dacic's methods would shadow those of Milosevic if he were allowed. The good thing is the international community would not allow that anymore.
Want to see Kosovo independence cemented, elect someone like Dacic.
The important thing is he knows how to handle albans.

Haha, like what? Abducting patrolling policemen on duty, then baby-crying into the camera "what they are doing" and finally releasing them after 36h? Of course for simple-minded kids that might appear impressing. A lot of drama and show and zero results while not having his own ministry under control when one of the most important arrests are under way. Maybe Ivica was simply to busy when playing pathfinder in the forests between Serbia and Kosovo.
No matter what, that case showed us that Ivica is not needed at all, except for playing the drama queen, maybe.
One of the more important arrests during the tenure of this administration and the Interior Minister has no clue. Serbian police and prosecution have already sent Ivica into retirement. Or Ivica cannot handle properly his ministry and his employee. Funny..
Might a cynic suggest that Dacic is annoyed because privately he believes that the US got what it deserved and that had he been informed in advance about this operation he might have tried to stop it? I cannot believe that the Interior Minister expects to be informed about every operation that takes place. It's one thing to keep him apprised of police work and quite another to tell him of everything that's happening. With an election on the horizon Mr D is in a bind. On the one hand he should be applauding the work of the police in identifying and arresting these people. On the other he knows that many of his nationalist supporters abhor the arrests and would prefer that the ten arrestees were honoured with medals instead.
