The fact that the Kosovo-Serbs with Serbian citizenship vote on parliamentary and presidential elections in no way breaches kosovo's laws.

Serbs in Germany and all over EU/world can vote on Serbian parliamentary and presidential elections. All you do just turn up to designated place and vote, normally in the embassy or consulate.

You people that comment here, can you please emancipate yourselves and not use bad language, name calling or make it personal. We all have a stake in the future of the region because for better or for worst we live here.

I assume that you all have some form of education given your good level of English so please lets air our personal views which in no way amount to some absolute truth. Lets explore wherever the road takes us but lets be civil. After all our manners reflect where we come from and is a reflection on our nations.

Albanians and Serbs have not always been enemies. It is a fact that before the Ottaman empire successfully conquered the Southeast Europe (and made the locals fight each other) our people lived side by side and intermarried regularly. Unlike Serbs, Albanians were divided between Rome (Catholic) and Constantinople (orthodox)yet if you look in history you will find that intermarriage and co-existence was the norm.

Lets try and find a common language and move on. Albanians as a people are a reality in the region. Serbs too are a reality in the region and i recognize that injustices have been committed by all sides in former Yugoslavia to various degrees.

I support Serbia in her struggle in Bosnia. It is not middle age history that legitimates 20/21 century territorial claims but facts on the ground. Reality on the ground gives Serbia e right in Bosnia.

In Kosovo (although is disputed by Albanians)maybe in the middle ages Serbs constituted the majority but we no longer live in the middle ages and the reality in 20/21 century is that Albanians form the majority.

Not because i am Albanian but Kosovo deserves to be an Independent state, not an Albanian state per se but independent as per the wishes of the majority. In Bosnia Serbs ought to declare their Independence. I never understood why Bosnia is not part of Serbia in the first place. Religion is not what defines a nation, Bosnians are Slavs if not Serbs yet it makes sense that they unite with Serbia.

We Albanians support Serbian claims in Bosnia and i personally think that Serbia ought to respect the reality on the ground in Kosovo.

Also Serbia ought to work to detoxify her people from the hatred they have for Albanians and especially for Albanians with Islamic nuances.

Any one welcome to respond to my views on the bases of a civilized engagement.

albanian farmer get off your donkey and listen. I said that the Serbs don't need kosovo's* help with palimentary elections. They will organize the elections on there own, both parlimentary and local at the sametime.
(Robert1899, 1 April 2012 20:19)

Robert1899,

Yes you do say a lot, but you are not Serbia and you don't own Serbia or Serbian people, and it's not up to you to decide what is good and bad for Serbia, but it's up to Serbian people, and majority of Serbian people don't want to have anything to do with Kosovo, but so far they've had no choice, their voice was not heard. When the referendum happens, if this current government dares to call on Kosovo issue, then you will see where you stand.

Your country will need Kosovo's help, you like or not, just like it did last month. Maybe we should throw away this Kosovo* agreement, after all is a political agreement.

Serbian racism doesn't function on Kosovo any more, but when the time come for a fee Kosovo government will help in organising this parliamentary election and I am fine standing here on the donkey, looking you down.

I'm sure Pristina would love to "help" in the May 6 election, primarily in making sure none of the ballots have any "local" names on them. It's pretty simple for national ballots to all of a sudden have local names for local elections conveniently written on them. I mean its one thing to arrest a bunch of Serbs carrying electoral ballots under some ridiculous law of threatening Kosovo's already weak stability, but it's something quite different in allowing ballots to be makeshifted up once they reach Serbian enclaves and so-called "parallel" institutions are voted on. This has nothing to do with Pristina trying to be a helpful neighbor. Maybe they're not as silly as I thought :)

UNMIK should take care of the Serbian elections in the Serbian (!) province of Kosovo. This is what both sides ageed on (1244).
This proves by the way that Kosovo is not a state. But indeed, a Serbian province ruled by UN!

How do you figure that grandpa? belgrade is so desperate to feign the emotion of machoness that it's going about ambushing and kidnapping Kosovo Police officers just to take facebook pics. It's really pathetic, really.

I would love to see belgrade elites let alone whoever is in charge of organizing elections come to Kosovo (especially the 'provincial capital') and get everything ready for May 6th voting.

Wake up Rip Van Winkle, the year is not 1899. We're in the 21st century.

Sincerely,

Berk.

Just as I stated some days ago. Having parliament elections is not a problem. Serbs are entitled anywhere in the world to vote for their parliament. Most Serbs live anyway South of Ibar and are peaceful. There is no problem. Only our terroristic Serbs in the North led by DSS, SRS and the Serbian church are the troublemaker (which will be soon removed or pacified, what comes first).
