As an Albanian yourself you would rather bury your head in the sand than admit that your race is involved in crime in many places in the world. The number of immigrants in Greece is approximately 1 million and three quarters of these are Albanians. The link below shows that the immigrant population in Greek prisons is approximately 42% not taking into consideration the extra numbers kept in immigration centres.

The banners in Akropolis are right and in every democracy people have the right to demonstrate unlike the fake controlled democracy in UK where students are clobbered by the police and taken to court and imprisoned because they protest against higher tuition fees.
(Leonidas, 31 March 2012 16:06)

Amusing comment yet again.
I'm not going to deny that there are ethnic-Albanian criminal gangs in many parts of the world, because there is.
And if I'm Albanian, what does that make you? Ethiopian? It has got bit old now. You need new material.

A quick goolge search can tell you that there are between 450,000-600,000 Albanians in Greece. This isn't 3/4 of a million aka 750,000.

Also the reference you gave me states that 40-42% of Greece's prison population are immigrants, which isn't "nearly 40% of inmates in Greek prisons are Albanians" as you previously stated. That is an artificial statistic which you created. Also that reference you gave me is a Blog. Hardly a reliable credible reference.

I know the UK doesn't have an ideal democracy, as well as declining civil liberties; but you have proved your ignorance once again. There is protesting against tuition fees, then there is breaking shop windows, attacking police vehicles, arson and breaking-and-entry. Not to mention the anarchists who hijacked the student protests. This is very different to what you have so boldly claimed.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t65-flr2kG8

Do you believe that is simply just protesting against higher tuition fees? Or does that go a little bit further than simply protesting?

I wasn't disagreeing with the banners next to the acropolis, I was just stating that the grammatical errors are amusing.

The fact that Demas ,Sarbanis and co were born in Albania to Greek parents and part of the Greek minority that makes them Albanian.Doesn't it?Your reasoning is striking.

Ridiculous outrageous claim. Are you some sort of a comedian?

Any chance you can back this claim up?

That claim is almost as funny as the banners next to the Acropolis which say "The Peoples Have the Power and Never Surrender"(sic).

What are you going to tell us next, the other 60% of inmates in Greek prisons are Turks?

Yes there are greeks in Australia, America etc. But have you heard greeks to smuggle drugs, be involved in human trafficing, maffia etc? No, you haven't. There is a difference between immigrant who want to work and assimilate into the country and culture they have come to. Todays immigrants are largely islamists, drugsmugglers and other criminals. Have you ever heard of a greek acused of terrorism like you have arabs and albanians? No, you haven't? I rest my case.

I support any country trying to defend itself from illegal immigration, it's an invasion that places too much pressure socially and economically on host nation. It's unsustainable.

Isn't it interesting , why isn't there an illegal immigrant problem in Albanian for example? Modern day Mordor is no place for foreigners, let alone the indigenous residence.

Your ignorance is beyond limits.Greek immigration to US and Canada goes back as far as the 18th century whereas Greeks in Australia and Germany went through inter-governmental agreements unlike the immigrants that come uninvited to Greece with no documents.

What is beyond limits is your hipocrisy. So because the greeks have been leeching on other people since the 18th century is OK, but when other needy people ask for just a fraction of kidnnes that Germany and Australia has shown to you,you arrest them.

It looks that most of serb cometators in B 92 still live in early 1990.Albania is prospering,is in white Schengen, has sign SAA and ALL 27 countries have approve it since 2009 and it just needs formal approval for candidate status to EU,because of childesh game between opposition and gonverment who postpone the status for 3 years.
Anyway,it looks that they are going to agree to vote those laws which require 3/5 that have been postponing the cadidate status for 3 years.
In the other words albanians are not in the situation thet they were in early 1990s.

Racism rears its ugly head again in Greece. Under false pretexts, Greece once again is showing its true colors. Blaming the underclass of a society for its ills has no place in a Democracy.
(Tom King, 30 March 2012 16:19)

Oh really? What do you advocate, free for all access? How about telling the truth about how many of these refugees are really not being persecuted but they are economic migrants? How about telling the truth about established Greek communities are being fractured because of the high level of crime as a result of immigration.Break-ins, robberies, muggings and murders have soared, with burglaries rising by 125% in the greater Athens region in 2011, according to Greek police. How about telling the truth about born and bred Greek people are struggling for jobs, housing, healthcare, education as it is without letting more people compete for it.

Being detained whilst their claims is investigated shouldn't be such a harsh experience. We cannot have thousands of people who we know nothing about wandering around the country. It is madness and many people are becoming increasingly pissed off about it.
That said, most people would rather have illegal immigrants detained instead of being allowed to disappear into the community before their claim is found to be bogus and they are removed. The problem is if they are not telling the truth, then there is no way we can send them back, not unless it cost the country a fortune in legal fees ,thanks to the human rights act.

Ask Manjani where she was born( Durres,Albania). She even represented Albania in 1996 in Atlanta Olympic Games ranked the 12 in the world, before she moved to Greece. Ask Sabanis,Xhelilis etc where they were born and grow up.

The fact that Demas ,Sarbanis and co were born in Albania to Greek parents and part of the Greek minority that makes them Albanian.Doesn't it?Your reasoning is striking.

"You forgot to mention that nearly 40% of inmates in Greek prisons are Albanians."
(Leonidas, 30 March 2012 22:16)

Ridiculous outrageous claim. Are you some sort of a comedian?

Any chance you can back this claim up?

That claim is almost as funny as the banners next to the Acropolis which say "The Peoples Have the Power and Never Surrender"(sic).

What are you going to tell us next, the other 60% of inmates in Greek prisons are Turks?

"Tom, I'm confident that some illegal albo orcs have run amuck in Greece as well, not just Serbia and Macedonia. Are you suggesting that Greeks should not control their borders like the US? Should not the Greeks then remove those illegals that are there ILLEGALLY from the country and deport them back to their place of origin? And you call that racism? I support any country trying to defend itself from illegal immigration, it's an invasion that places too much pressure socially and economically on host nation. It's unsustainable.

Isn't it interesting , why isn't there an illegal immigrant problem in Albanian for example? Modern day Mordor is no place for foreigners, let alone the indigenous residence.
really?"

Leonidas, welcome back. It's good to see you vent while you utter nonsense. Speaking of someone with a inferiority complex. You give Ataman a run for his money.

"Greece has flooded the world with her paesants from Europe to Australia. I am sure you wouldn't like it if the US,Canada,Australia,Germany do the same with the greeks that live in these countries."

Mark

Yes there are greeks in Australia, America etc. But have you heard greeks to smuggle drugs, be involved in human trafficing, maffia etc? No, you haven't. There is a difference between immigrant who want to work and assimilate into the country and culture they have come to. Todays immigrants are largely islamists, drugsmugglers and other criminals. Have you ever heard of a greek acused of terrorism like you have arabs and albanians? No, you haven't? I rest my case.
