Please tell me exactly what EU membership is really worth to Serbia anyway? Has anyone noticed the shabby shape of the western European and US economies' of late?

Why, oh why, would Serbia want to join a union with Croatia and Slovenia 20 years after a pretty nasty breakup of the last federation they shared.

Screw it all, do what you want, and what you need to do, but try to show some civility about it this time, even if you are dealing with those who are and act at a level below civility. Be your best - and be better than them - and show us in the west you can be better than us.

I for one know you can. I have met you, I see your emigres in my country every day and work with them, and I have now doubt you are an honorable and dignified race.

How will he explain it when we see on camera Serbs being arrested for wanting to vote? Democracy for everyone but the Serbs? The EP is positively communist when it has the luxury to be so.

Serbia will not hold local elections in kosovo* when the U.S.A. doesn't hold them in Texas.
(Robert1899, 29 March 2012 13:10)

Of course, if and when Texas expresses the desire to not be part of USA

icj1

The last time they did that, one of their ROSU thugs got sent home in a body bag.
(ecoman, 29 March 2012 23:28)

What does that have to do with anything ?! We all know that the ROSU thug was not shot by the peaceful and unarmed Serbs.
----------

The EU directs all actions for Pristina, so please stop sounding like the Albanians have any authority.
(ecoman, 29 March 2012 23:28)

Of course; that’s what Kosovo wanted – i.e. to no longer have Serbia direct all actions in Kosovo as it did prior to 1999.
----------

We all know what is going on in Kosovo, so stop the crap. The struggle is between the North Kosovo Serbs, and the EU, and unfortunately at times, even with Belgrade. The odds are not in the North Kosovo Serbs' favor, they are up against a mighty force, but give them credit for their fight.
(ecoman, 29 March 2012 23:28)

Their fight ?! Come on – don’t be so laughable. Fight is called the one of the Syrian people not somebody who just plays with logs in the road because does not have where to waste his or her time.
----------

It is a fight for survival. For when the fight is over, the North Kosovo Serbs will have to flee their ancestral homelands, to save their lives and from being ethnically cleansed by the hostile Albanians in KiM. And that my friends, is fact. If you BS otherwise, you are a liar.
(ecoman, 29 March 2012 23:28)

You are wrong dear with your facts. As sj has proved with undisputable facts in these forums over and over again “NO ONE dares to lift a finger against the Serbs – NO ONE dares”.

EA, stop pissing into the wind. Kosovo institutions cannot do one thing without EU/US approval. The last time they did that, one of their ROSU thugs got sent home in a body bag. Serbian elections will be held in KiM. Lets see how Thaci will mess this one up.

Let's wait and see!

Do not blame the others for nasty surprises....

Kosovo institution MUST use the force of law.

Our brothers will vote, no matter what the EU bullies tell them! The day is getting close for Serbs in Kosovo...they have rejected Pristina in their referendum. They have successfully stood up to EULEX with the barricades. Now they will vote in SERBIAN elections! They are telling the world that they DO NOT RECOGNIZE Albanian sovereignty! World, listen to us!

Silly boy, USA does not hold local elections in Texas, Each state schedules their own elections according to the mandate of their election commission. The Federal govt calls only National elections. Now most states and local communities for cost and ease of operation schedule elections to coincide with the national election if there is one, but that is not necessary just makes sense.

So does that mean you now support Serbia NOT holding local elections in Kosovo???

Kosovo police tried to evict a clinic in downtown Priština today which is used by the remaining Serbs in the city - from today's B92 Serbian section
It is because of actions like this by Pristina's authorities, taken against the remaining Serbs south of the Ibar, that makes the situation in Northern Kosovo a fight for survival for the Serbian population there. They (Serbs in North KiM) know that actions like this await them if, god forbid, Albanian authorities ever manage a foothold in the North. The ethnic cleansing of all minorities will be completed, and the Serbian existence and heritage will be wiped out from KiM. You may call my comment unfounded, but the actions of the Albanians south of the Ibar speak for themselves. If it is not rocks thrown at Serbian buses, or Orthodox churches vandalized, or Serbian cemeteries desecrated, or even Serbs murdered, then it is forceful evacuation of medical clinics, simply because they serve Serbian patients.

It's not a game that Serbs in the North are playing, Kosovo USA. These people are fighting for their very survival. If the North of KiM should ever come under Pristina's rule, they would be ethnically cleansed from their homes, like their compatriots in the Southern part of KiM. The Albanians in Pristina can blabber about creating a multi-ethnic society all they want, but the reality is that they want all minorities out of KiM. That has been proven by their actions in the past, present, and most likely, future.

Should is not a peremptory word. This is how Serbia and every normal and reasonable person will understand Fulle's statement.

If you add on that commissioner Fule did not say even a word over the "reciprocal arrests" the message to Serbia is: do as ever you wish, EU will not stop you.
