This is not the 90's anymore, and no one is trying to hold the former Yugoslavia together anymore. The RS would be quite content to be separated from Sarajevo, and for the most part, so would the Croatians. So who is left to do the shooting, as you propose, the Bosniaks? I have a feeling your comment is rooted more in your general dislike for Serbs, than what the most advantages outcome would be for the citizens of RS and FBiH.

The only one calling for dead bodies and making derogatory statements is you. If Bosnia can only join as a unified state, then there's going to have to be an agreement between the two entities that will keep Bosnia whole but federated like Belgium. Whatever you meant by "Milosevic's freak show" is unclear, but probably reflects more your anger and misunderstanding than anything factual. If you envision some sort of destruction of RS, good luck. It's not going to happen.

its funny how peoples that lived in the former yugoslavia are unable to recognize that bosnia was forced into something like a smaller yugoslavia. even though there were annimosities and hatreds even, in the former yugoslavia from one ethnic group to the next, even though each state within yugoslavia had its own central government they all competed under the same flag. seems that its a simple solution. if people do not wish to compete they don't have to. if the coaches choose not to select you, they don't have to either. it only takes away from the nation that you live in when you choose to put politics before sportsmanship.

RS "joining Serbia" is not an option - for Serbia. It still has to get EU membership for itself, and such a move would put a halt to that. Not to mention, make it an international pariah. Even Putin was not willing to allow So. Ossetia to join Russia, remember - it's one of the few things that can get you automatically blackballed by the United Nations, claiming the land of a neighboring state.

It's funny how no one is mentioning that it was the Muslims/Croats who ILLEGALLY declared bosnia's(without even consolting the Serbs who make up 40% of the population who were against it) indepedence and the fascist IZetbegovic was arming for civil war against Serbs and non-fascist muslims way before 92.. Which Hrvatska Garda are you thinking of? The one that ran in the opposite direction from Vukovar in 1992? The one that sat around doing nothing for 3 years with Krajina? The one that when they finally got money and supplies to launch Storm they still lost soldiers when old Serbian pensioners who were left behind shot back? Or the one that exists only in Thompson songs and on You Tube propaganda videos made by teenagers in Chicago with inferiority complexes? Don't worry though. RS isn't going anywhere since it's getting what it wants in Bosnia, so there's no need for Hrvatska Garda to embarras themselves trying to invade another country.

Do you people really think that the Bosnian people would just sit back while republika srpska breaks away and unites with serbia? You cannot be that naive. The problem with people like you is you have a very poor current geopolitical understanding of world and events. This is not the 1990s. It is the 21 century and the world has changed completely.
First of all the ONLY reason BiH exists is because the EU pays the bills so if the money stops so does the existence of BiH.
What are your mates in the Bosnian republic going to do? Start a war you say, but how will they do that one? The Croats want to leave their allies and would do so now.
Remember that when you play with fire you get burnt but if the Bosniaks start a fight they will be eliminated complely and no one will come to their aid. Serbia is much closer to RS than Turkey or anyone else and before the Bosniaks put an order for arms they would be wiped out. Oh you might be waiting for the US; I’d rethink that one very quickly too as they can’t afford to scratch themselves let alone help someone else – haven’t you heard the conversation between Obama and Medvedev???? The US is looking for a reason to back down out of that stupid “shield” idea. Then there is the FAILED Iraq and Afghanistan adventures – all costing money with no result except sending the Americans broke.

Yes the world has changed. The E.U. has become much more unified and would not tolerate a war within its borders like it did in the 1990’s. Everyone in the E.U. and U.S. is fully aware of what the serbs have done in the 1990’s and would not simply standby if serbia tried to pull the same shit again. If you had a better geopolitical understanding of world events you would clearly know that the U.S. and E.U. are fully capable of intervening if a war was to happen. Just look at what happened in Libya less than a year ago. Also, if RS did not block every attempt that the BiH government has made in moving forward, the country would not have to rely on the EU to pay its bills.

I don’t want you to get the impression that Bosnia has to rely on other countries to defend itself (especially not Turkey since they didn’t do anything to help us in the previous war). You may not remember this, but it was the West that prevented Bosnia from defending itself in the previous war when it imposed a weapons embargo on us throughout the entire war. So in fact, they were helping you. Nevertheless, the Bosnian people still survived. If serbia was unable to eliminate the Bosnian people under those circumstances, what in the world makes you think that they would be able to do so now? I hope this made your day.
