only way that NATO is leaving is to see a complete dissolution of the organization. Kfor may one day be disbanded but that does not mean NATO is going anywhere.

For the sake of peace I hope you are right. I was born in former Yugoslavia and I love you all equally because I chose to walk in each
of your shoes. Understanding human nature and choosing to be a realist helped. The emphasis on forgiveness by all major religions, spiritual teachers and modern day psychology explain that it's
the ONLY "magic pill" for health, prosperity and eternal happiness.
When we get out of denial, examine our actions and open our eyes around us,we will all start to see that it is impossible to hurt someone without
hurting ourselves as well--the same Universal Law applies when we do good and help somebody without any wish that our help be noticed. Let your blessing of others be silent.
Bottom line: We have to look to ourselves for our lasting peace and happiness by changing our hearts and minds, and not look to outside powers that don't have the fundamental answer.
Heaven and hell is a state of mind, not an actual place. We create those states with our thoughts and actions.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YS2u7N-bno

This is not Africa, South America, Asia, or even the Middle East. You are smack dab in the middle of NATO territory, if you are waiting on NATO to leave??? I would not advise holding your breath. The only way that NATO is leaving is to see a complete dissolution of the organization. Kfor may one day be disbanded but that does not mean NATO is going anywhere.

Stop focusing on borders, language and religion, and focus on the suffering of human beings, no matter what they look like or how they sound. Serb, Croat, Albanian, it doesn't matter. Every victim is a person with a life, a family, etc. A line in the dirt is nothing compared to that.

Wee Kelpie

Sure, that well advanced that more K-Albs than K-Serbs were killed in the outcome.
(?, 17 March 2012 15:31)

KAlb got their fingers burnt that day, though they managed to achieve a great deal (courtesy of a poor response from elements of UNMIK and KFOR).
What occured was more or less what was presented thru intelligence, only the date was not known. How else could so much have been done so quickly by the KAlb? An angry crowd venting their frustration is one thing, events were too clinical, well executed.

The kind of violence the serbs relased on Kosova, dwarfs any sort of small scall retaliation that may or may not have been taken place after the war.

Reading the articles at this news site, I sometimes have the feeling that an atom bomb could fall on Belgrade and not one single person would leave a comment.
But were an article to be posted about a civilian in Kosovo dropping a cigarette butt, it would not take more than 30 seconds for the first comment to appear.

I don't see that asterik is trying to convince anybody with anythig,he is simply stating hard core undisputable facts that are common knowledge
even to the donkeys and the sparrows.
As far as proven track records go,the only ones that should be of any significance and concern to you should be the KLA "Nike Brigade's" uphill track record to Albania when the Serbs started chasing their sorry church burning-organ harvesting-narco terrorist-islamofascist-cowardly behinds before NATO showed and mommacked up everything.
The other track records you should be concerned with is how many churches and monasteries the Albanians burned, how many Christian cemeteries they've desecrated, how many old lone couples they've murdered for their land, and how many Serbian organs they have harvested.....and
still be around free to talk about it and flaunt it into Serbs faces on Serbian soil and on Serbian websites. Tell me ?, how long before the Serbs totally lose it one bright sunny day and go mid-evil on all of you Nazi loving MFs?
I've got this strong feeling that not too long after NATO leaves, that there will be a whole lot of shaking going on.

"Kosovo is Serbia", "Ask any historian" read the unlikely placards, waved by angry Serb demonstrators in Brussels on Sunday. This is rather flattering for historians: we don't often get asked to adjudicate. It does not, however, follow that any historian would agree, not least because historians do not use this sort of eternal present tense.
History, for the Serbs, started in the early 7th century, when they settled in the Balkans. Their power base was outside Kosovo, which they fully conquered in the early 13th, so the claim that Kosovo was the "cradle" of the Serbs is untrue.
What is true is that they ruled Kosovo for about 250 years, until the final Ottoman takeover in the mid-15th century. Churches and monasteries remain from that period, but there is no more continuity between the medieval Serbian state and today's Serbia than there is between the Byzantine Empire and Greece.
Kosovo remained Ottoman territory until it was conquered by Serbian forces in 1912. Serbs would say "liberated"; but even their own estimates put the Orthodox Serb population at less than 25%. The majority population was Albanian, and did not welcome Serb rule, so "conquered" seems the right word.
But legally, Kosovo was not incorporated into the Serbian kingdom in 1912; it remained occupied territory until some time after 1918. Then, finally, it was incorporated, not into a Serbian state, but into a Yugoslav one. And with one big interruption (the second world war) it remained part of some sort of Yugoslav state until June 2006.
Until the destruction of the old federal Yugoslavia by Milosevic, Kosovo had a dual status. It was called a part of Serbia; but it was also called a unit of the federation. In all practical ways, the latter sense prevailed: Kosovo had its own parliament and government, and was directly represented at the federal level, alongside Serbia. It was, in fact, one of the eight units of the federal system.
Almost all the other unit so have now become independent states. Historically, the independence of Kosovo just completes that process. Therefore, Kosovo has become an ex-Yugoslav state, as any historian could tell you.

This is what the western war criminals, Germany and NATO, fully support. They fully support the theft of sovereign Serbian land and handing it over to a bunch of terrorists and organ snatchers. They support this anti-Serb pogrom. Have the albanians been punished for this pogrom? Of course not (Germany would not allow their old allies to be punished), in fact they've been rewarded for it. And Serbia is supposed to join these people in a union of unequals? I really hope Serbia wakes up.

Lets re-read the article:

The majority killed in the incident:
Albanians

The largest number of minorities killed in Kosovo:
Serbs

The largest number of minorities killed in Serbia including Kosovo/a:
Albanians

Number of churches damaged:
Serbian Orthodox Churches

Least number of damaged holy sites
Islamic Mosques

Number of people injured based on ethnic group:
Undetermined

Who expelled who in this incident:
Arguably the Albanians

Who expelled more people out of Kosovo/a since the birth of Jugoslavia and as province of Serbia?
Serbs expelled more people, nearly 800K during the '98-'99 war (just one example)

As far as a program of expelling Serbs from Kosovo/a by Albanians:
Check birth rates
Albanian women have on average more children than Serb women in Kosovo/a
So the idea of Albanians expelling Serbs doesn't hold true, have there been incidents on both sides where people took matters into their own hands? YES there are plenty on both sides and I'm sure each group can give plenty of examples.

Of the groups who were expelled more so than others?
NON SERBS! The Serbian govt. when speaking of an exodus after the war includes non serbs in their figures which outnumber the serbs. You guys know these people they are the homeless that live under the bridges in Belgrade or other cities in Serbia.

Who is the ultimate person to blame for the exodus of any group in Kosovo/a?
Belgrades economic policies towards its province.

The fact is that given a choice no one would want to live in Kosovo/a, be it Serb, Albanian, Gypsy. If you are Serb as the best Tennis player to come back and live in Kosovo/a permanently and see what his answer will be? If you are Albanian ask any of your brothers and sisters that left Kosovo/a to come back to Kosovo/a to live permanently and see what their answer would be?

Here's a reply from the Tennis player (hypothetical): Kosovo is in my heart and always will be but I've moved on and am pursuing my career at the moment.

Another from an Albanian abroad: I'm there ever July or August, its all I can stomach but I'm better off now where I live and the kids don't like the place much.

THE THING THAT EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN FROM THE ARTICLE THAT PEOPLE DIED. AND MAY GOD ETERNALLY BLESS THEIR SOLES.

SUCH ACTS MUST BE PREVENTED AT ALL COSTS IN THE FUTURE AND THE KOSOVO/A POLICE MUST PROSECUTE PEOPLE IRREGARDLESS OF ETHNICITY IF THEY INCITE CRIMES.

CHURCHES OR MOSQUES OR HOLY SITES/HALLS ETC. ARE OFF LIMITS TO ANY GROUP.

AND THE MEDIA SHOULD HAVE IMPROVED THEIR "CHECKING OF FACTS" PRIOR TO REPORTING IN KOSOVO/A OR SERBIA. WE ALL KNOW THE MEDIA ON BOTH SIDES ARE NOT ALWAYS RELIABLE.

AGAINS GOD BLESS ALL THOSE THAT HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES IN THIS INCIDENT AND ALL OTHERS BEFORE 2004. MAY SUCH AN ACT NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN BC OF A PERSONS ETHNICITY.

Ask your spokesperson Gallucci: "Many former Albanian residents of north Mitrovica have property claims there. I know first hand of their strong feelings about their property in the north. They were constantly pressing UNMIK to do more to enforce their property rights and safeguard their returning to homes on the other side of the Ibar. It was easy to understand this frustration as often they were forced to live in difficult circumstances in the south because they could not access or easily sell their property."

MAY SUCH AN ACT NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN BC OF A PERSONS ETHNICITY.

hurting ourselves as well--the same Universal Law applies when we do good and help somebody without any wish that our help be noticed. Let your blessing of others be silent.
Bottom line: We have to look to ourselves for our lasting peace and happiness by changing our hearts and minds, and not look to outside powers that don't have the fundamental answer.

The Albanians love pleading the poor victim, for all the miseries they suffered at the hands of the Serbs but, it seems to me that they were actually the ethnic cleaners. How many Serbs were (permanently) expelled from Kosovo and how many Albanians? Does anyone have the figures?

pre 12 godina

UNMIK police’s investigation determined that the Albanian accusations were false and an international police spokesman said that “the boys who survived were after the tragedy under a lot of pressure of the Albanian press and politicians to accuse the Serbs from the neighboring village”.

The Albanian extremists started protesting in the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica and in the evening started an armed assault on Serbs in the northern part of the city, forcing KFOR troops to intervene.

Albanian terrorists in Pristina's government again exposed for the criminals and liars that they are. US/EU, you certainly know how to pick your friends. Shame on all of you, the internationals are just as guilty for the deaths and destruction in 2004 as the Albanian extremists.

Wher is your proof? As always you albanians make up stories one more outrageous then the other. This pogrom against serbs happend during a period of peace and NATO protection, which makes it even worse.
(MikeC, 17 March 2012 14:05)

Ask your spokesperson Gallucci: "Many former Albanian residents of north Mitrovica have property claims there. I know first hand of their strong feelings about their property in the north. They were constantly pressing UNMIK to do more to enforce their property rights and safeguard their returning to homes on the other side of the Ibar. It was easy to understand this frustration as often they were forced to live in difficult circumstances in the south because they could not access or easily sell their property."

I'm sorry my Albanian friends. I know you admire us Serbians and our achievements. You continue to hang around this Serbian site but I'm sorry, I am not impressed with your skills. Church burning, grave desecrating, ethnic cleansing are not Olympic sports so please start learning to be a bit more civil and we may eventually start getting along. Otherwise, we'll send you back home to Turkey. Your choice.

You have tried to send us back to turkey 10000 times but you faild everytime because Kosovo is the cradle of albania. Kosovo is not part of serbia. Come on man the whole world knows what serbia did to civilians during the Balkan wars and you talking about "civil " you behaved like animals then and now.

I simply cannot understand why y'all need to debate these issues on a daily basis.
Forget all the stats and reports coming out of Prishtina, EULEX, NATO, US, and the West.

EVERYTHING you need to know with regards to Kosovo can be found at 'slobodan-milosevic.org'.

There is no propaganda, no spin just the plain truth!
If y'all follow my advice all of you will be as bright and as informed as Winston, Ataman and Ari Gold and the world would be a much better place...it would resemble Iran.

Those were indeed sad times. It was mob mentality. This type of behavior must be prevented in the future. There is enough room in Kosovo for Serbs and Albanians. At any rate, let's hope this type of nonsense never happens again. Unfortunately, if history tells us anything, it will.

Stop focusing on borders, language and religion, and focus on the suffering of human beings, no matter what they look like or how they sound. Serb, Croat, Albanian, it doesn't matter. Every victim is a person with a life, a family, etc. A line in the dirt is nothing compared to that.
