Russia has sent much aid to Kosovo Serbs - especially after the March 2004 pogrom. Russia sends its planes in the summer to put out the forest fires in Serbia, while many of the EU countries and U.S. were using planes to start fires all over Serbia.

You are right CG, I made a similar point the other day. When Russia allowed sanctions on Serbia (FRY) it effectively allowed the West to install its puppets in Serbia, which could end up making Serbia an enemy of Russia (as a NATO member).

Russia must do much much more if it wants to keep us as an ally.

Russia today is different from 1998. After the NATO attack on Serbia, Yeltsin was out and Putin in. Coincidence? Russian investment in Serbia is a great thing for Serbs and Russians. Serbs will strengthen ties with Russia, and be apart of the energy dominance that Russia will have over Europe. Kosovo is going nowhere. Stay strong Serbian brothers. Going to Europe is a bad idea. Like Koshtunica says, develop an economic policy that works with the EU, but don't join their little club. At least not at the expense of your relations with the East. They will let into their club, but you need to leave your shoes (Kosovo) and coat (Vojvodina) at the door.
