U.S. company welcomes refinery land lease

U.S. company Comico Oil has welcomed the progress in the refinery building project, after the Smederevo town assembly decided to allow it to lease land.

The 113-hectare plot will be leased to Comico Oil for a period of 99 years for RSD 652mn (some EUR 5.8mn) with additional benefits, for the purpose of building a refinery for the processing of crude oil and production of oil derivatives. Did I read this correctly? The current government if giving the use of this land away, and Serbian citizens have no voice in this matter. This oil company will line their own pockets for a century, pollute the hell out of Serbian skies, land, and rivers, for pocket change, approx. 58,000 EU a year. Are you kidding me? This can only happen in Serbia, where the inmates run the prison. The elections cannot come soon enough. I would even vote for Thaci, just to see these current crooks out of office.

Will this rent be fixed or adjusted for inflation? If it is fixed then within a few years the rent will not even pay for a lite of petrol.

The Democratic Party crooks in charge in Smederevo will want to fill their pockets before they are thrown out of office.
