Another own goal by Kosovo Albanians!

Now Serbs need to make it crystal clear to the EU that Serbia is a positive force in the Balkans while Albanians are destructive:
stirring up ethnic tensions in Macedonia, arresting Serbs in Kosovo for no reason, having criminals as their representatives,do not honour the agreements etc.
I am sure that Serbia will move ahead while Kosovo Albanians will be thrown back even more...

Just think about the international position of Serbs in 1999 and think of it now,it is much better and with such Albanian own goals it will become even more better!
(CG, 15 March 2012 15:17)

Another point of view: They can represent theirself and defend their rights. They will be equal around the table with other ballkan states!LOL

I really feel sorry for any Kosovar representatives that have to sit down with representatives fr the blgd regime, knowing that this regime is still promoting "diplomatic" war every single day, while continuing to actively cover-up past war-crimes. They must have stronger stomachs than mine...

One should note that at least there weren't bombs set off to great/try to kill the Albanians. That's what has happened to Serbian officials who went to Kosovo after the war.
Frankly no good comes to Serbs "negotiating" with the Albanians.

Why can't Albanians simply accept that Kosovo* is just what it is: a Serbian province ruled by UN. Nothing more, nothing less!
Kosovo is a province. Not a state. Deal with it!

And hey: Tibet would be glad to be Tibet* !

Thanks for the post exKFOR, after reading it in its entirety instead of picking out parts, it becomes quite evident that this decision to bomb Serbia was not an easy one and required a lot of thought and discussion. But in the end it was evident that it was the only choice to save lives. It proves that in opposition to many posts here, this was not an original goal of the parties involved but as evidenced by Russias agreements with the resolutions Milosevic was out of control and steps were necessary to prevent the escalation of violence and brutality exerted on the Kosovo people.
I think the negative reactions were from where you wanted to take isolated sentences to revamp the true meaning of the meeting.

I remember my 21st birthday very well, thats when the wars in the former Yugoslavia started and nothing ever returned to normal after that. I was a serbian patriot then, as I am now.The recent years have been full of discord and little politicol progress but one thing has been positive- aside from occasional flare ups, the war has stopped and people have stopped dying. But we have not started to live.

We need an honest discussion, a long discussion about Kosovo-an honest one. Young Serbs want to live thier lives devoid of war and hatred, they want an economic future. The same applies to young albanians and the youth from acrooss the Balkans. I believe the loss of Kosovo is a historic theft, but am I going to promote a war whose success is impossible-NO.

Kosovo is sacred to us, but are not the lives of our kids and our kinsmen more so? Nobody is going to change the facts of Kosovo but we can come togethyer as people of the Blakans and forge our own compromise.

Here is the compromise: The Serbian church within Kosovo and its holy sites will retain an autonomy and respect which the Vatcican enjoys within Italy. Some sort of autonomy must be given to the serbian people in Kosovo. We must compromise.

In the arrogance of the west we all (serb and albanian) are looked upon as something less than reasonable, sometimes less than quite civilized. Lets prove them wrong. Lets find a solution and lets move on to the life we deserve-a life spent hiking in the woods, worshiping in our churches and mosques, skiing, fishing our rivers, raising our families, playing chess, drinking pivo, quaralleing over sports, tilling our bountiful fields working and building and loving. War is alaways an abomination.

People on this web site endlessly spew hatred and fire. Probably none of you understand what war is. I know war very well, and there is no glamour to it, just ugliness and nothing gfood ever comes from it. Lets use this site on B-92 to plant a seed. Lets talk and compromise-lets come to a solution of which we can all be proud off. Lets be human and stop being those things which the arrogant have labled us. LETS WAGE PEACE.

"According to reports, she then said that "representatives of Kosovo were taking part in a gathering in Serbia for the first time", and read the text of the footnote. "

I don´t believe that reading the footnote is part of the agreement (see below). There have been different political guided intentions. A very warm welcome - Serbian style.

Arrangements Regarding Regional Representation and Cooperation

1. Both parties confirm their commitment to effective, inclusive and representative regional cooperation.

2. To this effect 'Kosovo*' is the only denomination to be used within the framework of regional cooperation.

3. The footnote to be applied to the asterisk in para 2 above will read
"This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSC 1244 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence."

4. 'Kosovo*' participates on its own account and speaks for itself at all regional meetings.

5. Where new agreements are to be initialled and/or signed, a representative of 'Kosovo*' will sign under the designation in paras 2 and 3 above.

6. As concerns modifications to existing agreements signed by UNMIK, nothing in these conclusions will be interpreted as prejudicial to UNMIK's legal rights. A representative of the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) will bi invited to meetings organised within the framework of arrangements for which it is a signatory. It is for UNMIK to decide whether to attend any particular meeting.

7. Hosts of meetings will be encouraged to avoid the display of national symbols except for their own and those of the EU, taking into account the statutes of relevant organisations.

8. The EU as Facilitator will inform relevant regional organisations and entities of these arrangements for denomination, representation and signiture. They should be reflected in the practical organisation of regional meetings. The EU will monitor the implementation of these arrangements.

9. Both parties and the EU will urge partners to support these arrangements and to assist in their implementation.

10. The regional organisations referred to in these conclusions are existing and future intergovernmental organisations or arrangements whose aim is to promote cooperation or integration in the Balkan region. "Regional meetings" inclides meetings of these organisations and also ad-hoc or informal meetings with similar aims. It also includes meetings with EU institutions in the context of the European agenda.

11. These arrangements are adopted on an interim basis.

It is well known here in Serbia that we would recognize an independent Albanian State in Kosovo i Metohija tomorrow if we could, but Cyprus, Greece, Romania, Slovakia and Spain will not allow us. So who are we to fight against the wishes of these EU member states, especially when we are dying to join this club? Till these nations change their minds, I am afraid that Serbia will have to continue to make reference to Kosova with an *asterisk attached. What more can good neighbors do?

(exKFOR, 15 March 2012 18:29) "

Now that you ask, in my case it was for "piece loving."

One should note that at least there weren't bombs set off to great/try to kill the Albanians. That's what has happened to Serbian officials who went to Kosovo after the war.
Frankly no good comes to Serbs "negotiating" with the Albanians.

I really feel sorry for any Kosovar representatives that have to sit down with representatives fr the blgd regime, knowing that this regime is still promoting "diplomatic" war every single day, while continuing to actively cover-up past war-crimes. They must have stronger stomachs than mine...

Yes, roberto, we all know how you feel. You have never made a secret of it.
Keep filling up with that bile. It's really good for the soul.

Tic for tac politics, is this the best this people can come up with.

Albanians, Serbs and other Balkanese people we are screwed.

They spent so much money (not theirs but tax payers money) so they could reach an agreement and move on. Apparently they did nothing just wasted money and time, that is both parties Albanian and Serbian.

Edita and your mate Boro, both of you are useless and waste of space on the surface of this planet. Idiots.

Why can't Albanians simply accept that Kosovo* is just what it is: a Serbian province ruled by UN. Nothing more, nothing less!
Kosovo is a province. Not a state. Deal with it!

And hey: Tibet would be glad to be Tibet* !
