"Josipović said there was a vocal segment of the political scene both in Croatia and in Serbia which would put up a Chinese wall between the two countries, but that the voters did not choose this policy and it did not carry political weight."

Yes, in Croatia, these nationalist extremists have been voted out. Let's hope that during the upcoming election in may their Serbian counterparts aren't voted into the government.

Why isn't is a condition for Croatia to solve problems with Serbian refugees ethnically cleansed from Croatia?

No people - no problems?

Mr K,

Croatia & Serbia should become friends & forgive what happened but never forget what happened. You have to join the boat (EU) or you will sink on your own...like it or not that is the reality & the new world order. Serbia & Croatia are way too weak not to be part of the EU...Croatia can't just survive on tourism & Serbia can't just survive of small plant/manufactory industry. As with Russia they are looking after themselves & only like to voice their opinion just to be heard & respected as a power house. Where were the Russians when Nato bombed Serbia, all talk no action my friends. When it came to crunch time the Americans just open their wallets & say "how much do you want" & everything solved. As I say join the boat (for weak industry nations) or you will sink even further. Russia is a power house & can survive on it's own.

Kind regards,

Mr K

Ironically, Croatia will be the least of Serbia's worries when it comes to negotiating for the EU. They're in the same boat and are probably two small non-EU countries that could do without the EU.

I expect Romania, Bulgaria, and even little Slovenia to take full advantage of Serbia's negotiating position.

Romania already started their demands with that "Vlah rights" fiasco, before Serbia even obtained EU candidate status, LOL.

This is a great example of how simple minded people can be. As if Brussels will listens to Slovenia or Romania or any of these others who are living off the cash being provided by the EU. When you live off my money you have to do as I tell you not the other way around.

Let me remind you what happened when the twins from Poland thought they were a real power and decide to us Poland’s presidency of the EU by banning Russian goods because Moscow placed a ban on their exports. They made Poland look like fools and the EU stepped in and the ban was lifted. Even Leck Walesa wrote that the twins were an embarrassment to their country.

How many times have you guys posted how Serbia would never get visa free travel or get candidate status or many of the other agreements signed because of Kosovo????
All Serbia has to do is look the other way towards Moscow and the EU comes a running.

Croatia is irrelevant just like the other bankrupt countries in the eastern block.

You should be asking yourself whether Serbia will block Albanias, currently non-existent, EU membership. Besides, shouldn't you albs be worrying about your own internal affairs instead of meddling into others?
Are you sad that Croatia doesn't oppose Serbia they way you would like to? How does it feel when you see the entire world embrasing Serbia and leaving Albania out?

You would to see Croatia block Serbia's entrance into the EU, wouldn't you Avni? But I agree with you on this one, I too would like to anything happen that will keep Serbia out of the Union. The Union is a New World Order slave ship, benefiting the masters, and forever chaining the peons with a high cost of living, and endless credit to pay for it. Welcome to modern day slavery.

Croatia will not block Serbia's EU integration”, FOR NOW. In future who knows who'll win elections in Crotia and what might they decide to do.

That’s right, the Croats will have no objection to Serbia joining the EU, as long as Serbia pays war reparations of hundreds of billions of euros, hands over ten thousand political and military leaders for “war crimes,” surrenders “eastern Croatia,” or as the Serbs call it, Vojvodina, and, finally, only when Serbia accepts responsibility for the murder of tens of thousands of patriotic Croats in its horrendous WW2 Concentration Camp, Jasenovac.

Although they don’t know it, the Croats are going to save Serbia. The EU is death for all nation-states. It will certainly destroy Croatia, but maybe, just maybe, Serbia can escape its death embrace.
