More fundamentalist Muslim barbarianism, this time coming from Albanians. They say they are offended by someone wearing a mask at some carnival that mocked Islam, and this coming from people that swear they are mostly not religious at all. I think that Albanians can't wait to find a reason to cause trouble, in their attempt to form a greater (unnatural) Albania.

This should be the final straw. These animals need to be taught a lesson because only that way will they learn. They need to be dealt with by force, the areas in which they dominate should be militarily occupied so that criminals be dealt with immediately.

Albanian terrorists at it again. Pretty obvious that Albanian terrorism is a worldwide trend. Some people just need to be dealt with using force. I hope the Macedonians put these criminals back in their place.

Une, if a policeman actually killed 2 people over a parking space, which I find extremely difficult to believe, then allow the authorities to do their job and investigate the matter. Again, if the incident on the bus happened, allow the authorities to investigate and arrest the perps. As for burning an Albanian flag in Macedonia, so what? Residents in Macedonia do not live in Albania. Flags are burned all over the world, none more than America's - should the USA retaliate in each incident? Throwing rocks at public buses is not the answer to resolving ethnic tensions - dialogue is. And am I right in assuming from you, that Albanians have never been the instigators in hate crimes? I do not see you mention any of that.

Kosovo is a long-term project for the EU, EUdude. They have poured so many billions into KiM so far, that they have to keep going. And what return did they get on their Euro, zilch. There is still unrest between the Albanians and Serbs, forget what Belgrade says, they don't live there. There is economy to speak of, besides cafes, and buildings from laundered money. The criminal empires are still alive and well there, starting from within the Pristina government, to every ethnic Albanian village. Their are no minority returnees to speak of, as you have mentioned, in fact the ethnic cleansing of minorities still goes on. Buses of non Albanian companies are stoned on a regular basis, as the destruction of Orthodox monasteries still goes on. Now why would the EU support this Newborn in the Balkans - I think it has no way out. They fell into it knee deep, and there is no escape. Firstly, the policeman WAS macedonian slav (as opposed to macedonian albanian - both albanians and slav in Macedonia are macedonians) and secondly the albanians there will stop looking at the police in negative ways when the Macedonian goverment respects the Ohrid agreement and the percentage of albanians in police starts reflecting the percentage of albanian population in Macedonia.

If you read my comment again and try to understand it rather than making assumptions, you will realise that I am not condoning the rock throwing or taking law into someone hands...I was merely responding to the commentators that were solely blaming the albanians for the raising of ethnic tensions there.

Hooligans, just like the article says. Too bad it fails to mention them in the headline, as its quite misleading. But we're used to it.
There certainly have been ethnic tensions in FYROM the last couple of weeks, sparked by the incident in Gostivar. Football hools from both sides just took the opportunity to riot and cause trouble.
I'm not surprised by the one-sided coverage in the ex-yugo media(i.e. Serbia/FYROM), as long as the rest of the world is fair enough and tells the WHOLE story from start to finish, without skipping what they dont like.

Please don't be harsh over these albanian actions. It is just a cry for help. They simply can't help themselves. How long will it be before Brussels suddenly finds some funds to promote 'ethnic peace'in FYROM, i.e. pay off the ringmasters.

In the Meantime, Brussels has just announced a 3mEuro fund to build housing for those minorities 'who fled' (as western powers call people they don't like who have been ethnically cleansed) Kosovo, at the hands of KLA and friends, in the Konik refugee camp in Montenegro for those who 'do not wish to return to Kosovo'.

Brussels has given up on getting Pristina to treat minorities in Kosovo with anything like the normal standards that are expected in a modern Europe and instead wants to brush the issue under the carpet. Brussels demands the full right of return for refugees in the rest of the ex-SFRY but refuses to enforce this in Kosovo where over 200,000 are still denied this right.

As an Albanian I dont give a crap about the Koran, they can burn it, and all the mosques in Albanian lands. I don't care. I do realize that the islamic identity of Albanians in Macedonia is out of control and in the absence of a state to accomodate them, islam has become an ideology where they rely on to distinguish themselves from the slavs and rally against them. This is very sad. Islam is by far the most sinister ideology in that region for Albanians and others for that matter.

Macedonians on the other hand are worse. Not only from a religion standpoint. A few days ago 2 ethnic albanians were killed by an off duty police officer and they let him out on bail, 15 Alb kids were beaten to death, Albanian flag burned in public etc. Always trying to act cocky when they can't even sustain the conflict. This is very stupid. If they want to have a stable country they have to accomodate 30%+ of the population, which is Albanians, or else they will have no future as a country.The most unstable,identity lacking and fragile nation in the Balkans, is completely invested in internal fights, instead of unifying itslef to resist foreign pressures, how dumb is that? This country has no future.

Demi, I believe that this story is about Macedonia, and the unrest in the Albanian neighborhoods. Why are you pulling Serbia into this? Are you obsessed with Serbs?

As an Albanian I dont give a crap about the Koran, they can burn it, and all the mosques in Albanian lands. I don't care. I do realize that the islamic identity of Albanians in Macedonia is out of control and in the absence of a state to accomodate them, islam has become an ideology where they rely on to distinguish themselves from the slavs and rally against them. This is very sad. Islam is by far the most sinister ideology in that region for Albanians and others for that matter.

Macedonians on the other hand are worse. Not only from a religion standpoint. A few days ago 2 ethnic albanians were killed by an off duty police officer and they let him out on bail, 15 Alb kids were beaten to death, Albanian flag burned in public etc. Always trying to act cocky when they can't even sustain the conflict. This is very stupid. If they want to have a stable country they have to accomodate 30%+ of the population, which is Albanians, or else they will have no future as a country.The most unstable,identity lacking and fragile nation in the Balkans, is completely invested in internal fights, instead of unifying itslef to resist foreign pressures, how dumb is that? This country has no future.

If you read my comment again and try to understand it rather than making assumptions, you will realise that I am not condoning the rock throwing or taking law into someone hands...I was merely responding to the commentators that were solely blaming the albanians for the raising of ethnic tensions there.

Kosovo is a long-term project for the EU, EUdude. They have poured so many billions into KiM so far, that they have to keep going. And what return did they get on their Euro, zilch. There is still unrest between the Albanians and Serbs, forget what Belgrade says, they don't live there. There is economy to speak of, besides cafes, and buildings from laundered money. The criminal empires are still alive and well there, starting from within the Pristina government, to every ethnic Albanian village. Their are no minority returnees to speak of, as you have mentioned, in fact the ethnic cleansing of minorities still goes on. Buses of non Albanian companies are stoned on a regular basis, as the destruction of Orthodox monasteries still goes on. Now why would the EU support this Newborn in the Balkans - I think it has no way out. They fell into it knee deep, and there is no escape. But hey, it keeps NGO's, the NATO, military suppliers, drug mafia, and an endless supply of EU bureaucrats in business. You gotta love these nation building projects that the USA starts, and then dumps on the host continent.

AlbMCSE, yes, there have been riots in many countries, and the Greek incident was during a riot at their own government, but I do not recall there ver being rocks thrown at public transportation in any of those cases. Innocent people are in those buses, not the perpetrators of the events you mention. If Albanians were killed without reason by a policeman, allow the authorities to do their work. How in the world can throwing rocks at a city bus help?

Please don't be harsh over these albanian actions. It is just a cry for help. They simply can't help themselves. How long will it be before Brussels suddenly finds some funds to promote 'ethnic peace'in FYROM, i.e. pay off the ringmasters.

In the Meantime, Brussels has just announced a 3mEuro fund to build housing for those minorities 'who fled' (as western powers call people they don't like who have been ethnically cleansed) Kosovo, at the hands of KLA and friends, in the Konik refugee camp in Montenegro for those who 'do not wish to return to Kosovo'.

Brussels has given up on getting Pristina to treat minorities in Kosovo with anything like the normal standards that are expected in a modern Europe and instead wants to brush the issue under the carpet. Brussels demands the full right of return for refugees in the rest of the ex-SFRY but refuses to enforce this in Kosovo where over 200,000 are still denied this right.

If setting up and taking down barricades is an Olympic sport then Serbs will win gold, hands down.
If systematic and mass rape ever becomes an Olympic sport then you know who will win.
If starting and loosing many wars in one decade than you know who will win gold.
If assassinating elected politicians becomes an Olympic sport then you should fare well also.
If kicking out ambassadors and then inviting them back in becomes an Olympic sport you will win gold.

I tried to have slivo or even a beer in Srbica/Skenderaj back in 2004 but the local muslim brotherhood was stumping their chest declaring they were muslims and did not drink alco...the only thing they offered was hasish and other drugs - but I do not like that, so no friendship with majority Kosovo Albanians..lol
