No Farmer, I left the former Yugoslavia as a little boy, and grew up in the USA. I have my opinions about what is going on in Kosovo, what happened in the past, and where it is going - and I express them. I have seen a lot of injustices committed by the USA against the Serbs during the Balkan Wars, that they labelled them the bad guys, after being their biggest allies during WWII. Some things are true about what Serbs did in the Balkans in the 90's, but a lot is not. I try to somehow level the that injustice. Can you blame me, we both love our own people - not necessarily our governments.

Winston,

Thank you for sharing this information.

I think it was wise your parents moved you away from the madness.

During the 1990 Serbian government used a Soviet style media in mis informing and mis leading Serbian people. A lot of innocent people fell for it and terrible things were done on their behalf.

Serbian people have to find a way to live with their past, and so do others.

Fools go home to your families because you are not going to make any difference by staying on the highways, stopping cars, only you are doing favours to this foriegners staying longer and making the future of your own community more misarable than it is.

If you think that some Serbs from Belgrade, Nish or proper Serbia think for your well being you really wrong, you are the one leaving in the poverty not them. Their children are going ahead, prospering while your children are playing in the streets learning the skill of despotism just you have learned from you parents. 1. Do you remember when Albanians blocked roads, not allowing Russian KFOR troops to proceed to the place of their dislocation?

2. You say blocking roads will not help Kosovo Serbs to improve their life. And what will help? I guess Albanian police occupation of KNorth will contribute to KSerbs well-being a lot?
(aaayyy, 13 March 2012 15:57)

You certainly like the government of Serbia which closed the parliament of Kosovo late 1980 early 1990. And you are quite happy having a centralised government based in Belgrade where a handful byrocrats can decide for everyone.

And yes the Albanians blocked the Russian KFOR in more than one occasion.

Until Serbian people are mature enough to understand so they can vote themselfs an Albanian prime minister or a president, and Albanian language becomes a second language in Serbia, religion institution get separated from central government, we are going to have this conflict with Kosovo and Serbia.

Serbian people enjoy this rights in Kosovo but this despots are not allowing the Serbian people have it.

Wow winston, a side of you I have never seen. I have tried to post here as pro Kosovo, not anti Serb, it is sometimes hard to keep the lines from being blurred especially when posting in response to hate laced comments but I have a couple of points of view to place for you.
1. The hatred Serb vs Albanian it is equal, neither side is worse than the other. The reason I side with the Kosovo people is simple the Serbs were the ones in power, they had the ability to mend some of the hatred but instead of reaching out to the Albanians in Kosovo and trying to bring them into Serbian society as equals the ones in position of power wanted to use that ability to keep the Albanians as 2nd class citizens and not a part of the former Yugoslavian society. Do you think the US would have a black President today if there was not a movement by whites to remove the racial injustices.
2. You are a transplant to the US from Serbia, since you came as a little boy, I am assuming you have incorporated yourself into US society. Do you not feel that the land you own in the US is yours?(I am assuming you own a house), do you not feel that your vote is just as important as the Italian-American down the street, or whoever. That just because you are Serbian your voice should not be heard.
3. How would you feel if whatever state you live the sentiment was this is American land and anyone who has come here after WWII are not a part of it, it will never be your land, you can stay but you must admit that you are not an equal to me because my family has been here for generations. Do you not see that when you make statements like Kosovo will always be Serbian land, that is exactly what you are doing? The land belongs to the people who live on it who work it, who are there to have a better quality of life.

As far as the Albanian people I do not see them as better or worse than Serbian people, they do not deserve more than Serbs nor do they deserve less. My point and maybe you agree or do not, they can never have that under the attitudes of the controlling govt of Serbia. Even if the offer of "more than autonomy, less than independence" if it were actually defined is not giving them equal status in Serbia. It is still saying you have these rights because "I" am giving them to you. What is wrong with that??? "I" can take them away just as easy as "I" can give them. Just as was done previously by Milosevic. "I"(Serbs) am making sure that "You"(Albanians) can have rights but "I" have final control.

Do you not see why they want it different?

As an American citizen you have the same voice, the same choices, the same abilities, as the person down the street, it matters not if you call yourself Serbian-, Albanian-, German-,American. That is all I want for the people of Kosovo but the reality is that it is not possible in today's Serbian society.

Winston,

I aware we don't share the same views when it comes to Balkan politics, but maybe just maybe we have a common understanding that politics and politicians don't have a nationality, for that matter might as well be a different species.

Nor Thaqi and his government, or Tadiq and his government have worked in reforming the countries and life of their voters, apart for their friends and family.

Lets be realistic here, Serbs or Albanians for that matter are not better off since 1990s just worse. There is still a huge number of unemployed people of under 40 and that number is increasing daily. All Balkans is going through a lost generation. The governments are broke.

If there was work for this people in Kosovo or Serbia do you really think this people would stay in the streets, and become 16 17 century despots.

Just remind yourself that some 30 years ago most of this people worked in the mine, and their parents have done the same. What's worse their land is highly contaminated, and first time some 9 years ago, they actually could see birds flying, because the mine doesn't function.

I suppose it would be very rude to ask you, why don't you go and live in that part of the world, because I wouldn't even if they paid me, not because of the Serbs, I have nothing against them, but it would be stupid to go and live on a contaminated land.

Smart people have left, even the Balkans, to go and find a better life somewhere else.

The Serbs in the North of Kosovo, which is the only place left that is Free and Democratic in Serbia’s Province of Kosovo, know their Priories and they are putting their putting their Priories in the proper order of importance.

Imagine a story of a Teacher who had a large plastic jar, and he filled them up with large stones, and when it reached to the top, he asked his Students if the jar was full, and they said that it was.

The Teacher then took smaller pebbles and put them in the jar and he shook and tapped the jar, and the pebbles went between the large stones, until the pebbles reached the top of the jar, and the Teacher asked his Students if the jar was full, and they said that is was.

The Teacher then took sand and put it in the jar and he shook and tapped the jar, and the sand went between the pebbles and the large stones, until the sand reached the top of the jar, and the Teacher asked his Students if the jar was full, and they said that is was.

The Teacher then took coffee and put it in the jar, and when the coffee reached the top of the jar, then everyone knew that the jar was full.

The Teacher explained that the larger stones represent the most important thing in a Person’s life, and the pebbles represent the secondary things in a Person’s life, and that the sand represents the more trivial things, which while they would be good to have, a Person can do without them, and drinking coffee can be done occasionally.

The Teacher went on to say that if you begin with filling your jar with sand, then there is no room for the large stones.

This means that if a Person’s Priories are those of pursuing the trivial, then you will overlook what is most important to the Person.

We have seen this with Tadic and Company, over the last four years, and they think that being duped with European Union Candidate Status is more important that Kosovo.

I do not think that Tadic and Company, along with the Dacic Poodle are duped, because they know of the European Union Gravy Train, and they have their Priorates of guzzling as much Gravy as the European Union has promised them.

It should not surprise us if Tadic and Company, along with the Dacic Poodle will put on an act of being Patriotic during the Election Campaign, and I just hope that the Voters of Serbia are fooled, by Actor Clooney as Tadic has been compared to.

There will be Serbian Voters who will Vote for Tadic and Company, because they know that they are both Unprincipled, and they want to Exploit their Fellow Citizens in order to benefit themselves at the expense of their Country.

What kind of world do you want in Kosovo for Christ's sake - a military dictatorship? If EULEX stops being a tool of Pristina, and behaves in a status neutral way, as they are mandated to do, then they will have freedom of movement. Ha EULEX become a car service for Albanian customs agents?

I liked your analogy with the rocks, sand and liquid. The only problem is in Serbia there are no rocks. By that I mean the options that are currently available in the upcoming election give Serbia the unfortunate choice of a traitor or a clown as President. Vojislav where are you ?

That's a bit radical, Bt, isn't it? To shoot people that protest, even if they block roads, is not a very democratic action.

Then Borko needs to shut up and stop saying " Prishtians abuse must stop " what abuse? Then Borko said " freedom of movement for all " With this he means freedom of movement for all but not for Eulex, Kfor, albanians. Belgrad thinks that north kosovo is going to be like " republika srpska " wich is a dream. Kosovo custom officers are going to be at Brnjak & Jarinje checkpoint weather belgrad want it or not. North kosovo is full of crimimals who control it people. Serbs did this in croatia trying to create their own " krajina srpska " until Franco tudjman came and showed them a lession!

LOL and some still wonder why more civilized peoples constantly need to step in and take care of matters instead of Albanians. Tell me BT, did that work for Milosevic? All that money, aid, and diplomatic coming from the Free World and all you can think of is "shoot them animals"? Great job kid. Real "European" of you :)

It is not important to publish my correction, because those with intelligence will know the issues, and I will understand if B 92 Staff are Secret CIA Agents, even as Julian Assange says that B (2 is a Puppet of America.

I realized that I should have said in my other comment that I just hope that the Voters of Serbia are Not fooled by the George Clooney type Professional Acting of Boris Clooney Tadic, who has been compared to that Professional Actor.

These despots make you laugh.

By blocking the roads they are not doing anyone any harm to anyone else apart from themselfs. Their demands have nothing to do with Serbian cause. To hell with that if Serbs culture is left to be protected in two forms of identification, because there is a bigger problem than this.

There are million of Serbs, for that matter Balkan people around the world, and their identification don't say Republic of Serbia, or country they come from, and for a lot of them lucky to say is their place of birth.

Fools go home to your families because you are not going to make any difference by staying on the highways, stopping cars, only you are doing favours to this foriegners staying longer and making the future of your own community more misarable than it is.

Don't worry your head about what the Serbs are doing in N. KiM, worry more about what your criminal leadership in Pristina is doing to their fellow Albanians. Thaci walks around in 500 Euro neckties, how much money have you seen since the KLA's UDI?

Somehow i feel quite certain you have too.
