Serbs should be the last ones complaining about so-called ABUSE!
Just one look at their god awful track record of human rights violations is all it takes for anyone to understand that the real tyrannical threat in the balkans was and is Serbian nationalism!

If the Serbs would read and comprehend every legal document before signing, there would be no problems and they could avoid this embarrassment.

“The agreements that Belgrade team chief Borislav Stefanović reached in Brussels have made life harder for the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, especially the Agreement on Freedom of Movement which envisages changing their citizenship to ‘Kosovar’,” noted Zubin Potok Mayor Slaviša Ristić.
“Stefanović had two interpretations – one for the public in Serbia and the other for the citizens in northern Kosovo and Metohija, whom he tried to convince that this would not apply to them. It does not say in the agreement and EULEX will stubbornly stick to it,” Ristić explained.
Do I have to say anything on this mister Srefanovic!!??

Serbs need to be the ones issuing license plates, not the Albanians. The problem is, once again, borders. We can be assured that Serbs traveling from Kosovo to the rest of Serbia are not from anywhere else. But Albanians coming out of Kosovo into Serbia could be from anywhere. There is drug and human trafficking to worry about.

"EU has either entertained a status neutral aproach or a separation of Kosovo to Serbia through UNresolution 1244, but has never supported issues that portray any of Kosovo as a Serbian province. The KS license plates were the official ones issued under the command of UNMIK/Resolution 1244, so they are actually the "status neutral" plates."

If EULEX would be status neutral, it would only allow the KS license plates, which were issued by UNMIK, as you said, and ban all new ones issued by Serbia as well as all new RSK number plates issued by the Kosovo government.

Maybe there should be an new agreement that people use a common KS* license plate (*= without prejudice to the status)
(Comm. Parrisson, 11 March 2012 15:20)
Actually that is a good idea, I am not sure if you meant it or it was a slam.
However, if I am not mistaken the original agreement was that Serbs could continue using their old Serbian license plates but could not use the new ones with Kosovo cities listed on them. I am sure that contrary to what Stefanovic says it is not ok with the EU for Serbia to issue license plates with Kosovo cities on them. EU has either entertained a status neutral aproach or a separation of Kosovo to Serbia through UNresolution 1244, but has never supported issues that portray any of Kosovo as a Serbian province. The KS license plates were the official ones issued under the command of UNMIK/Resolution 1244, so they are actually the "status neutral" plates.

What Prishtina abuse? How many agreements have Serbs signed and then not respected. Few days ago EU's Ashton had to intervene in order for Serbs let a Kosovo delegation visit Presheva Valley.

Fact – Kosovo is not a legal country but a province of Serbia therefore citizens of Serbia can not be forced to have other countries license plates or documents.. . simple as that

Is Serbia prepared to allow the Albanisns living in Presevo, Bujanovc and Medvegja travel with Kosovo number plates? Ben, why does every story concerning KiM, have to include Presevo, etc., with you? I, and most people here, could give a rat's butt about Presevo. Let them fight their own fight, if they have a problem. How does that include KiM? As for the license plates, how about a KiM plate with an asterisk for the citizens in N. KiM? The asterisk can mean: We are citizens of Serbia, and we live in the land of our ancestors. We do not recognize the Western imposed government in Pristina, it has nothing to do with us, so please leave us the F alone. I think that a car plate like that would be acceptable to both sides.

Its pretty obvious that Pristina want to impose something that was not part of the agreement. Now that the serbs have rejected it albanians will say that serbs are not keeping their part of the "agreement". In other words, the albanian side have made concessions to great for their fellow albanians to accept. So, they fabricate a story to save face.
(MikeC, 11 March 2012 15:07)

The best place to find the truth about deals between Prishtina&Belgrade is to ask EU facilitator, since you seem to believe Stefanovic so much. But, Stefanovic is a big liar, and one liar believes another liar. Feel sorry for you guys.

That is why is so important to stop massaging Serbia's arrogant stance towards Kosovo.
(EA, 11 March 2012 14:40)

What's arrogant? Fact is: Kosovo is a disputed territory, and Serbia sees their license plates as valid because Kosovo is a province of Serbia, the Pristina government thinks everybody has to use their license plates because Kosovo is independent. Both positions are okay.

Maybe there should be an new agreement that people use a common KS* license plate (*= without prejudice to the status)

That is what is happening when EU leaves room to Serbia to play ambiguosity and comes back to recognition. Serbia still malitiouslyu calls the Serbian citisens of Kosovo.....
