Seems Mr Tadic has made a few more deals with the EU but has fogoten to tell his people.

The EU candidate status had a bigger price than was disclosed to the Serbian public. If it is found out that Tadic and the DS sold out the N. of KiM completely, they will be ruined politically, and rightfully so.

Bryan - I appreciate your sense of grandeur, but you have it all wrong. Serbia is more divided now than ever before and you have fallen already. Why mention that the Serbs are more united in the north? Why not "All of Serbia is more united"? The government of Serbia is in Belgrade and not in Kosova. The only decisions that matter and that the world will recognize are those made by Belgrade. The Northern Serbs are just that...Serbs in northern Kosova. So whether or not they are "united" is irrelevant. Anyway, you're crazy to think that 3 million Serbs are going to suffer on behalf of 70,000 Serbs in northern Kosova. Most Serbs in Serbia would rather this Kosova problem just went away even if it means cutting strings completely with Kosovar Serbs.

If that should happen you can forget about joining the EU. If you prefer being a colony of Russia surrounded by EU member states without Serbia having access to the common market you are free to try.

It would be interesting to know what they do think, one could only wonder. I am sure many posters here who claim to know "the facts" will render an "informed" posts. You know ex Kfor, staff, sj. The ones that can tell you the red fruit on the table that looks like an apple, tastes like an apple, says its an apple, is really a banana, because of their informed sources.
However, they are there to do a job, that job is to maintain security and freedom of movement for the people of Kosovo, and the international presence, and that is what they are doing. Their mission is not to determine whether Kosovo is independent or a UN protectorate or both. Their mission is not to agree with or disagree with the politics of the northern Serbs, but to prevent them from using illegal means to express those politics.

the Pristina govt, the Belgrade govt, UNMIK, Eulex, Kfor.

Some one is thinking they trow up a road blocks and you road block them I know it is so unfair in a Serb make believe world aaaa. Criminal problem fixed really fast keep up the good work.

Their actions may be in contradiction but they are protecting themselves from any further damage to their homes & villages.

They have lived in Serbia their whole lives and their forefathers lives too. They are not about to let one conservative government change their future.

Who should decide how these Serbs live? An international organisation that has only been in the area in the last 12 years? Or themselves who have lived there since day 1?

It's a no brainer to me. I applaud them for standing up for themselves and protecting themselves from the threat of Albanian rulers governing their villages.

It is this exact resistance right now that will ensure their fate & their destiny as Serbian law abiding citizens & retain their culture and education.

Times are slowly changing and their resistance will pay off. They will be remembered for these acts and they will be icons for the Serbian people.

They are not using KLA tactics to resist. Good on them.

Let me tell you that the Serbs rule Kosovo and this is not an idle statement. We control it and we say who does what and where as KFOR, EULEX or REFLUX has to shut up and be very, very quiet. Initially, KFOR was to suppress the Serbs but they do our bidding. How stupid do you have to be to see what is going on????? A small number of Serbs are telling the United States they are not going to have their way and that supreme imbecile, Hilary Clinton, has to obey.
Tadic has no control over the Serbs in Kosovo as they are protected by Russia. Tadic is irrelevant as he has to tread very carefully not to offend the new world order.
