The real problem for the west is that the situation has not settled down in Libya, as planned. I read that the west actually had a timetable where within 2 to 23 months all will be settled and the western-leaning regime would start to repair the damaged oil equipment and it was business as usual with plenty of cheap oil for the EU.

12 months down the track oil is not flowing anywhere near pre democracy days and now you have splinter groups rearing their heads with announcement of breaking away from the country. Then you have militia groups loyal to their own warlords fighting for territory and now you have Libya Mustafa Abdul Jalil announcing of using force to prevent a breakup of Libya.

Considering that the current Council is loosely made up tribal leaders and Al Quida who don’t trust one an other I fail to see how this Mustafa is going to fulfil that threat. If they try something as rash as using force then it will be civil war again and you will see sides change mid stream of the fighting and refugees galore. Hope the EU has plenty of places for them.

Libya is now the official turd of the West. Here is your democracy, enjoy it. More war, death and destruction for nothing. But hey, we will take you oil, and sell you more weapons. Win win for us, sucks for you. But hey, this us what you agreed to when you work with the west, it's good times ahead filled with "human right" milk and honey. Disaster.
