Corlatean is from the opposition - the Social Democrat Party (presently, the biggest party in Romania, also the party of the former Romanian president, Iliescu, who said once that "Serbia and Black Sea were always the only good neighbours of Romania".) The Social Democrats are going for a clear victory in November legislative elections, together with the National Liberal Party and the (small) Conservative Party.

However, for me (as Romanian) it is funny to see that the only thing the current political power in Bucharest and its opposition are sharing as common ground is the issue of Kosovo (rejection of Pristina self-declared independence and support for Serbia's path towards EU).

Hopefully, Romanian support for solving Kosovo situation through negociations would not go in vain, although big EU countries are obviously pro-Pristina.
