"Serbia could get accession talks date soon"

If Serbia continues on its present path there is no reason why it shouldn't be possible for it to start EU accession negotiations before too long.

you made me laugh, dude. thanks for that. could you tell us the numbers of next weeks lottery? =)

as for Mr.Cameron.... this man is quite amusing, actually. the socalled UK is as sovereign as the Ukraine in the 1950´s and this guy is talking as if the Brits had a say!

the EU-members ( not "Europe" as they are so eagerly calling themselves ) need Serbia more than Serbia needs the EU.

that´s a fact, many do not ( like to admit ) see, but whoever has a little bit of brains knows that this blank spot on the EU-map needs to be filled, if the EU wants to tapp new markets in order to re-balance the own budgets...

Can you get a life? I mean really! You write like a robot and nobody cares about your specific knowledge of EU facts. Serbia won't enter EU for a very very very long time. This latest present from EU was meant to trick the public into voting for disgraceful subservient DS govrenment.

If Serbia begins accession negotiations with the EU in 2013 the negotiations could be completed in 2017.

The Accession Treaty would then be signed in 2018. The Accession Treaty would need to be ratified by all EU Member States during the course of 2018 and 2019. This would mean that Serbia would join the EU in January 2020.

If Serbia encounters problems during the accession negotiations ( for example, Croatia could block the opening of negotiation chapters) the accession negotiations will take longer and Serbia will join the EU after 2020.

This is very interesting, because he know that the Ethnic Hungarian Politicians must obey the Constitution of Serbia.

It would seem Un-European to ask others to respect Serbia’s Constitution, unless he himself would respect it, and the matter of independence for the Serbian Northern Province of Vojvodina, if Tadic and Company win the next Election, would be for the People of Serbia to decide.

There needs to be consistency here, and if the Prime Minister of Hungary is not after Vojvodina’s independence, then Hungary should withdraw its recognition of the unilateral declaration of independence by the Albanians of Serbia’s Southern Province of Kosovo.
