Watching CNN reporting on the Syrian civil war is almost comical in their one-sidedness. They fail to tell the public the facts - the 'Free Syrian Army' is composed of Al Qaeda and Muslim Brotherhood extremists who have openly stated that they will kill Alawites and Christians if they manage to get power. This doesn't seem to concern hysterical war mongers like Hillary Clinton or John McCain. So they want to support one tribe so they can slaughter another tribe. Yep, it's all good as long as there is war and weapons so that the military industrial complex can remain profitable. These are sick individuals, executing a sick agenda, which is thankfully bankrupting the US of A. Thank God there are people like Putin out there to stop these 'humanitarian bombers'.

I watched the whole TV version of the discussion which in fact must have lasted much longer. And 99% of the time they discussed one single issue of how to provide our independence for decades ahead. In Russian meaning of the word it sounds like in an old Soviet song (Была бы страна родная и нету других забот). So under this angle those men to compose the real elite of ours talked of the details. I have no doubts about the patriotism and professionalism of absolute majority of the participants. And what is more important none of them cares of what somebody abroad will think of them. Neither President Obama nor even you my dear Superman.

They all were worried with only one thing how to provide our military superiority over any potential opponents which may appear in the future. In the context Putin and General Ivashov only once mentioned the Iran and Syria crisis hinting that some day “friends” of Russia may too gather the crusaders like those 60 states in Tunisia. Then we have to be ready to bury them all in one grave. Only technical aspects of this single issue have been discussed. Last Monday Putin published his military program and it was a sequence discussion. Sure only thanks to the presidential campaign we witnessed the discussion. Dean don’t you worry about my vote cause I never vote for Eltsyn &Co. And you are right about China but it may threat us only to-morrow. While the biggest threat is the US and it’s a quite real challenge Russia should be ready to face. Our mentality is different from yours. Europe is disarming itself and we don’t care about it even though UK and France still keep up their potentials. I guess most of the Russians support Putin’s external policies. And so do I. Say he was against the no fly zone in Libya. But Medvedev decides to kiss the ass of Uncle Sam and it destroyed this prosperous country. The threats are imaginary only over CNN while our generals do not trust any words. If they see a threat they get ready to neutralize it. So they seek for asymmetry responds and people support them. Our history tells us not to spend efforts for defense despite the problems we have in every day life.

I wouldn’t like to touch the Serbian issue where we won’t find a compromise. But if you pay attention you will find that over most of the international problems Albanians and Serbians link and give similar comments. Same is my attitude for Putin. I like his foreign policy while I hate many things happening in my country. And I don’t believe Putin is the man to cope with it. It must be a new man not involved to the elites this much. People to protest here also aren’t pro-western. In Russia comprador mentality is minimal and therefore the few west fed parties enjoy only 2-3 % support. What you call a manipulation is a common practice in every country you know and Russia is nothing better. Democracy is just the most cunning and hypocrite form of manipulation but is legalized and everybody uses it in his own favor.

My point is that Russia is BIG by nature and a country of unlimited resources,compare to every single country on Planet Earth.But yet again,there is something keeping Russia back.And people like PUTIN are one of the main reasons.Let's not compare Russia with other western countries,but with China.New cities build out of the scratch,in the ''middle of nowhere'',and yet again China lacks of resources.In 20 year time Chinese have shown that they have rather more clear ideas 4 the future,then the Russians do.

Valid point. I think the Chinese way of getting more influence in the world through economic power is a much smarter one. They spend more money for infrastructure and research than for weapons. I usually compare Russia to states in the middle east who became rich by exploiting their natural resources. China, on the other hand, has a much better industrial background for a prosperous future. Chinas way is much more sustainable than the one of the USA (too much money spend for military adventures, too much consumation) and Russia (money earned primarily from the limited resources oil and gas, lack of infrastructure), on the long term.
