What are members of MUP doing in Kosovo in the first place? According to 1244, which is so often mentioned by the Serbs, the annex states:

After withdrawal, an agreed number of Yugoslav and Serbian personnel will be permitted to return to perform the following functions:
Liaison with the international civil mission and the international security presence;
Marking/clearing minefields;
Maintaining a presence at Serb patrimonial sites;
Maintaining a presence at key border crossings.

The KEY word is agreed and the second condition is the list of duties to be performed.

I think Albanian authorities were more generous than its allowed in such situations. Serbian agents have been infiltrated in Kosova since the end of war. In a normal country, they would be expelled, killed or punished because their actions are against the constitution. Serbs should be grateful to international structures in Kosova, because they seem to have shielded them from punishment. ROSU should not cease its actions until Kosova is cleansed from every Serbian agent!

First of all the title is misleading. Everyone in the comments is saying "6 year old chidl" she is 16 not 6. At the age of 16 you are barely a child, in fact you are a young adult capable of hitting and harrasing police officers that are arresting your older male relatives.

The fact that they were in possesion of so many weapons was reason enough to handcuff even a 10 year old. When there are weapons of that magnitude found in a home, the FIRST thing you do is handcuff everyone. Also, the point about the men being beaten, they may have gotten hit by the police but they may have resisted aswell.. I mean.. with all those weapons I am sure that anyone would try to resist.

This article should read "Kosovo Police arrest and beat on Serbian men" because arresting a 16 year old is far from news. I remember my friend got arrested at 14 years old and even tossed to the ground and bled from his lip when cops spotted him leaving the woods. When the police are suspicous of weapons they will arrest ANYBODY.. I can maybe feel some compassion if she was 6 but 16?? Who cares and move on. Its just another day.

Also the vice Secretary of State Burns signed an agreement for military cooperation between US and Kosova thus if it is something substantial as it well can be (including the earlier decision of Pres. Bush for arm supply of Kosova) the defence capacities in Kosova will start working and will grow considerable.

Yes this new "deal" has brought some news. Two are the major one.

The first is that Kosova will be represented in the regional meetings differently from other countries slightly more humiliating than how it is FYROM today.

The second news is: Serbia’s institutional presence in Kosova is history if needed force will be finally applied.

After all, handcuffing a 6 year old is nothing compared to killing a 6 year old or even a 6 month old in the hands of his/her mother. During the war, serb paramilitaries killed in horrible ways many children while they were held by their mothers.

This last arm twist that internationals did to Kosova seems will be last compromise Kosova will do in acting as sovereign and independent state. ROSUs action in north this summer seems to have been the first signal that the things will and cannot be the same. This last humiliating "deal" about representation* was too much. This last humiliating "compromise" (read imposed solution by the pro-Serbian forces in EU) will be accepted as temporary solution but the Serbian B.SH. will not be tolerated anymore as they were until now during the supervised independence.

Consider that the ICO and international community has agreed that the supervision period will end by the end of this year expect that KPS will close all Serbian parallel institutions in Kosova, including north in spectacular or less spectacular way north will be brought under firm control. 60,000 chicken thefts for as much as they can be supported by Serbian MUP and Army are not a challenge for KPS or even less the FSK.

Also the vice Secretary of State Burns signed an agreement for military cooperation between US and Kosova thus if it is something substantial as it well can be (including the earlier decision of Pres. Bush for arm supply of Kosova) the defence capacities in Kosova will start working and will grow considerable.

Yes this new "deal" has brought some news. Two are the major one.

The first is that Kosova will be represented in the regional meetings differently from other countries slightly more humiliating than how it is FYROM today.

The second news is: Serbia’s institutional presence in Kosova is history if needed force will be finally applied.

First of all the title is misleading. Everyone in the comments is saying "6 year old chidl" she is 16 not 6. At the age of 16 you are barely a child, in fact you are a young adult capable of hitting and harrasing police officers that are arresting your older male relatives.

The fact that they were in possesion of so many weapons was reason enough to handcuff even a 10 year old. When there are weapons of that magnitude found in a home, the FIRST thing you do is handcuff everyone. Also, the point about the men being beaten, they may have gotten hit by the police but they may have resisted aswell.. I mean.. with all those weapons I am sure that anyone would try to resist.

This article should read "Kosovo Police arrest and beat on Serbian men" because arresting a 16 year old is far from news. I remember my friend got arrested at 14 years old and even tossed to the ground and bled from his lip when cops spotted him leaving the woods. The fact is, the victims in this case live in Kosovo but work for the authorities of Serbia, hence the reason for the weapons, duh!!!
Conversely, there are Kosovo police service personnel who work in Kosovo but live in Serbia and in their homes, they have similiar weapons!!!
