"When asked whether the EU expected Serbia to recognize Kosovo’s independence, Lajčak said that there was not a single European document in which such request was made."

The EU and the conditions for new members exist much longer than this 'independent Kosovo'. And having in mind that 5 of 27 existing members don't recognize Kosovo, how can it be a condition for a new member? Makes no sense to me. Of course on thing is obvious: In case Serbia will become an EU member, it will a Serbia without Kosovo. For Kosovo, it will take decades to become an EU member, they are way behind any European standards, just like Turkey.

Tadic and his are at it again.. in 2008 they promosed EU and all this Kosovo propaganda.. Same playbook.. I suspect they will again, the elecetions will be rigged.

"When asked whether the EU expected Serbia to recognize Kosovo’s independence..."

Probably Tadic asked EU not to accelerate the process by setting demands for Kosovo explicit recognition for candidate status. He must have asked Germans to postpone the demand in order not to frighten Serbian public opinion. Though I will be glad if I am mistaken and Serbia will join EU withoutexplicit recognition of Kosovo.

"...whether the EU expected Serbia to recognize Kosovo’s independence..."

Of course it does...does anyone with a bit of brain in EU expects another Cyprus in its ranks?

Let me ask you another question "does EU expect Serbia to establish its territorial integrity and sovereignity over Kosovo "according to Serbian constitution" before joining the EU?

Can someone here "help me" what territorial integrity and sovereignity of one country mean?

Serbia is more concerned about names, maps....)
