Im not crazy about Tadic, but well played. No mention of the word Republic, and mention to resolution 1244. Definitely not a good moment for the Albo trolls.. esp funny that the German FM came in to basically help close the deal, without shunning Serbia. Change of heart? Not completely..but any inch Serbs gain back, is a valuable inch. It is important the Serbian province of Kosovo is respresented at regional meetings..we will have to live with the Albos in the future..so why not start trying. Im not crazy about Tadic..but this was a decent accomplishment. Getting to the EU gives Serbia even more leverage..remember that. To our Serbian republic of Kosovo..this was exactly opposite. Enforeced what Serbia has been proclaiming all along, and def not a step forward.

Hey people, think of this. Serbia doesn't accept RKS as an independent country, right? guess what it is independent, you go there, and see, they got their, police, their government, their army,...
And with or without footnotes, RKS will be equal to everyone else, they talk, vote, participate, and all the rest, just like everybody else.
Where is the victory to serbia here?

Congratulations to both sides. Now they can move towards EU. As far as winning I think Pristina won more than Serbia. Read what they agreed to as far as border control and the future of North Ibar. This was a trade off give us a political victory 1244 and there will be no elections north of Ibar. Serbia also has withdraws their opposition with the rest of the EU members. Thaci is done. Hajradinaj will be released soon and he will be the new PM of Kosovo.

All for an EU candidate status before the coming elections.
And then more of the same if that status wins the elections for Tadic and company.

Meanwhile Turkey has been an official candidate since 1999 and is still waiting for membership.
Serbia will be different of course, because Germany is Serbia's special friend . . .

I'm devastated, the Serbs just played into the hands of the Albanians. I never thought that Stefanovic could be so stupid. This is the chink in the armor the Albanians have been looking for. Now the Albos will smirk every time we have to face them at international meetings. What did we gain from all these concessions since we can't even be sure this will lead to EU candidate status. And, even if Serbia gets candidacy, it will be years, as in the case of Turkey, till the EU will let us join. Just watch and see how many more hurdles will be put in front of Serbia in order to join the EU. The Serbs have been duped and I am deeply humiliated and disgusted by such stupidity. Is this all Kosovo meant to Serbia? Serbia has been had once again!
