That's funny indeed. Seems like, at that time, Serbs tried to ignore UN1244, just like some Albanians do today.
(Comm. Parrisson, 24 February 2012 14:42)
Except that your assertion that UNMIK/UN is the only ones that can call elections.
"Organizing and overseeing the development of provisional institutions for democratic and autonomous self-government pending a political settlement, including the holding of elections;

Transferring, as these institutions are established, its administrative responsibilities while overseeing and supporting the consolidation of Kosovo's local provisional institutions and other peace-building activities;"
AS PER 1244 MANDATE: UNMIK has turned over the authority to call elections to the Kosovo Election Authority and no longer organizes elections itself, thus making the government in Pristina the only legal authority to call elections under resolution 1244

Is inappropriate to refer to the "legality" and again threaten the non-recognition of any elections in northern Kosovo, for two reasons: 1) the legality would have to be based on resolution 1244, which international factors, the ultimate contradiction, they want to selectively apply, 2) the legitimacy is over the legality and International factors have to realize that they can not tailor the fate of the North of Kosovo against the will of the people who live there - not because it was "not nice" - but because no single institution has so much power to forcibly compel people in northern Kosovo to act contrary to their will.

"Funny that in years past any Serb that actually voted in the UNMIK called elections were harassed and threatened. I can remember in 2007 they were even threatened with loss of any Serbian pensions or salaries if they participated with the then "illegal UNMIK" elections."

Yes. Only elections held by the responsible bodies, which is the UN/UNMIK in case of Kosovo, can be legal.

Good that the last 'elections' held by Kosovo authorities with all its manipulations and irregularities don't deserve to be called 'elections', otherwise, they would be illegal, too.
