The Voters could cope with genuine economic mistakes, but what do normal People think of Puppets, and I guess you need good degree of Arrogance to Deliberately lie to the Voters, because the only way to prevent Arrogance in the DS is to not vote for the DS.
The DS has been arrogant and not cared for the feelings of citizens in the history of their government, the amount of protests that have taken place during their rule shows this, there is no reason to trust them now and to be honest they are looking very desperate.
