What's the point of your comment, Frank? Are you just trying to be sarcastic? In any case, Serbia will probably get candidate status, because the EU wants to help the DS get re-elected, as they are pro-EU centric, and relatively obedient to Brussels. The EU needs to have serbia under its wing to maintain calm in the Balkans, a lot more so than Pristina, let's face it. What actually has an independent Albanian Kosovo had to offer to the EU in the last 10 years? Nothing - only a price tag.

It's as if one EU country every week must take turns saying they believe that Serbia get into the EU... and that Unicorns are real. Notice you never hear the Germans, the only ones who really matter, saying this? I wonder if some minor German bureaucrat called him and told him to say this... or perhaps they just sent him an email?

Three conditions:

1) recognize Kosovo
2) turn blind eye when KSerbs are being cleansed from Kosovo
3) cancel all previous agreements with Russia

Very friendly indeed...
