Ehh? The ICJ ruled that an UDI is not in violation of international law and UN1244. Conclusion: Every group of people in the world has the right to unilaterally declare independence.
(Comm. Parrisson, 20 February 2012 10:20)

Dear, the ICJ wrote nowhere that an UDI is not in violation of international law and UN1244. That must be the Serbian version of the ICJ opinion that will bring you as much success as the Serbian version of 1244.

The ICJ said that the declaration of independence of ***Kosovo*** adopted on ***17 February 2008*** did not violate international law" (* added)

So the conclusion is that every group of people in something called Kossovo can legally and unilaterally declare independence provided that they backdate it to 17 Feb 2008 :)

Btw, the ICJ did not determine "the right" of declaring independence at all; be that for Kosovo or for others. You must have read the separate opinion of Judge Cançado Trindade, but that's not the opinion of the Court. The ICJ determined the legality.

You forgot that is organ snatcher wanted from Serbian state, sentenced from Serbian court to 10 years in jail in absence. Which your president Tadic is eager to meet again for concessions. You, Tadic, Vuckevic, Jeremic, Dacic, Bogdanovic, Dick Marty etc. can talk as much as you would like against him, that is why we albanians love him more.

There needs to be a Compromise between the Country of Serbia, and with the Leaders of the Albanians of Serbia’s Province of Kosovo, who represent the Albanians of South Kosovo.

This Compromise became necessary because of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244, which was created because the Kosovo Albanian Leaders complained that Slobodan Milosevic took their Autonomy away from them.

The Country of Serbia is agreeable to having the Albanians rule themselves, and provisions for this request are being accommodated by means of a Negotiated Autonomy for the Albanians of Serbia’s Province of Kosovo.

The basic features of this Autonomy for the Albanians of South Kosovo are; that the Albanians will govern those regions in South Kosovo that are mutually agreed to with the Government of Serbia, because North Kosovo will join Serbia in all things, but it will be on the map as North Kosovo, or as that part of Kosovo that is above the Ibar River.

The Government of Serbia will run parallel institutions with the Non-Albanian regions in South Kosovo, and those regions will be represented Regionally and Internally by the Government of Serbia.

These regions will have their own Municipalities just like in North Kosovo, and they are Municipalities that do not wish to be governed by the Albanian Authorities in South Kosovo, just like the Municipalities in North Kosovo do not wish to be governed by the Albanian Authorities in South Kosovo.

The Kosovo Albanians will agree to a live and let live Autonomy that is acceptable to all reasonable fair minded People, and they will accept that they are Citizens of the Country of Serbia.

The Fact that Kosovo belongs to the Country of Serbia, means that Kosovo is represented by Serbia Internationally as part of it Territiry, but we are not discussing the Territory of Kosovo, but on how the Country of Serbia will allow the Albanians regions of South Kosovo who will be granted Autonomy to be represented in the Balkans and elsewhere.

That representation would not be as much as the representation that Serbia will have, because it cannot contradict the Policies of the Country of Serbia, especially the Foreign Policy of Serbia, where the Government of Serbia should have the exclusive right.

Kosovo was never independent, and Kosovo belongs to the Country of Serbia, for as long as the Majority of the Citizens of the Country of Serbia want it that way.

That is a brief explanation of the South Kosovo Compromise, and it does not cover all the details, but it is enough for all of us to understand what the Final Status of Kosovo and South Kosovo will be.

With this Compromise, Serbia has gained Global Legitimacy, both Politically, and Morally.

Serbia never was the cause of the wars of the former Yugoslavia, and so if Serbia did it, it would not be doing it again, because it never did it in the first place.

In a European Democracy; Everyone is entitled to their own version of History, even if it is based entirely on lies, but the question for the Albanians in South Kosovo is that while they have their versions of the past, they will not be able to lie to themselves about their present or their future.

Serbia will wait patiently for as long as it takes for the Albanians of South Kosovo to realize that the reality is that they will have to Negotiate Autonomy, and the European Union can do the Kosovo Albanians a favour by encouraging the Kosovo Albanian Leaders to Negotiate a Fair and Workable Autonomy for all the People of South Kosovo.

Stefanović expressed a lot of reservations regarding the claims of Kosovo's Prime Minister Hashim Thaci that "an agreement was reached in a meeting with U.S. official William Burns that Kosovo will be represented by citing the (unilateral) declaration of independence, the ICJ opinion and Resolution 1244".

Burns didn't make any such claim to Hash.

Money quote:

"The US Deputy Secretary of State is quoted as admitting that the issue is sensitive, but that what's more important is the broader opportunity.

“This whole issue is about how Kosovo can win the right to represent itself in regional organizations and how to lay the foundation for closer relations with Europe. Winning that right, winning the chance to participate as an equal and to represent yourselves, is a major gain for Kosovo,” Burns said.

“All the other symbolic and technical questions ... are less significant in comparison to having your own voice, your own seat at the table. That is what sovereignty is all about,” US Deputy Secretary of State Burns added."

In other words, the US doesn't care how Kosovo is represented as long as it can sit at the table. This should be enough for a quasi-sovereign entity propped up by international support to be happy with. :)

The bottome line is that Serbia does not want Kosovo to be represented as equall partner internationally? Correct me if I am wrong.

In other words Serbia wants to undo Kosovo independence and still claims territorial integrity and sovereignity over Kosovo. Correct me if I am wrong.

Now where is the room for Serbian "compromise"?

Serbia has lost legitimacy of Kosovo, MORALLY and politically. It did so by causing wars in the former Yugoslavia, it has caused too much bloodshed. If Serbia as prepared to do it again...go for it...but it will not be "as easy" as it was in the last wars....
