I cannot see how electing a right wing government will solve Spain's unemployment problems.The tragedy for Spain is that having blamed the socialists for the mess they're undoubtedly in, they're now elected the party most likely to gleefully embrace cuts and austerity programmes as a means of introducing further privatisation policies - ideologically driven with no respect to results or actual savings, as a means of funnelling as much taxpayer's money as possible into the pockets of the rich.

The quoted unemployment figure of 23% is well below the actual one as it includes only the unemployed that are currently receiving entitlements.The figures amongst the young are approaching the 50% mark and there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Spain must decide to exit the Euroland,re-introduce its old currency(it's already accepted as means of exchange in couple of cities)so its service industry and agriculture can regain its competitiveness in world markets.As long as she remains under the Euro straight jacket the ranks of the unemployed will be swollen and the current social unrest, political instability, economic turmoil, ethnic conflicts,will continue to spread and will eventually mushroom into greater activities under the sway of demagogues.

My posting expresses my point view on the article and doesn't necessarily mean that I am right.But conos like yourself twist and turn their answers into insulting rants which have nothing to do with the article.Furthermore by changing your posting name every time you appear in this forum it does show that you suffer from either inferiority comlex
