"Government could stopped referendum"Mr. Laslo Varga suggestions to starve the Serbs of Northern Kosovo into the submission to rules of illegal and illegitimate Kosovo Republic is unconscionable.Kosovo is not sovereign state therefore,it does not have legal rights to control minorities or properties of that region other then they own.Kosovo by treaty belong to Serbia.Today Government or any other future Government can not give way or sell that territory without explicit approval of the people of Serbia and SPC.So Mr.Laslo Varga, rest assured, and your friends in EU Kosovo is not for sale. You can do something constructive here by advising your friends in Pristina not to use weapons on Serbs.

There are a lot more László Varga here than it should be, it's just the local nickname for what Serbs call "Vuk Branković". Slovaks and Czechs have their share of these "fine" gentlemen too, so your house also has glass roof, stone throwing is dangerous ;)

The Serbs in Kosovo should cease ALL discussion and representation from the foreign run government in Belgrade. Until this puppet regime is overthrown they should seek representation from Serb friendly states such as the Russian Federation who do more to protect Serb interests from hostile entities than their own so called "government".

European enlargement does not exist at this time and yet the Europeans demand permanent concessions for the promise of future consideration. Any talk of Serbia joining the EU, while the EU itself is falling apart, is laughable. What is the purpose of continuing this unrealistic and unhelpful goal? Why can't anyone in the Serbian Government, or the European Union just admit that the EU is in no position to expand any time soon?

The parliament's EU Integration Committee chairman stressed that non-fulfillment of the agreement on the integrated joint control of the borders, which envisages both Kosovo Albanian and Serbian customs officers at the two crossings in northern Kosovo, could affect Serbia’s EU integration process.

Look like Serbia shot itself in the foot big time. Lets see what future will bring for these stateless Serbs in northern Mitro!?

I have made my point sometime ago about Serbia's stance regarding the "local leaders" in norther Kosovo. Just for record here is one of my points

Somewhere else I mentioned "why Tadic is not sacking these local leaders" as "they are acting against the interest of Serbian state"?

The bottom line is Serbia wants the northern Kosovo as part "of its compromise solution".

Way forward? Serbia must recognise officially Kosovo independence and then meangful talks can take place, no EU candidacy until the relationships with Kosovo is settled once and for all.
