On the other hand, one of the leaders of Serbs in the north, Kosovska Mitrovica Mayor Dragoslav Pantić, told B92 on Thursday that the referendum's result will make the position of the Belgrade negotiating team easier, providing it with proof of the stance that Serbs in the north consider themselves a part of Serbia, and do not wish to "integrate into the Kosovo society".

What is Dragoslav speaking about ? Kosovo is Serbia, isn't it ? Did he have doubts about that ?! Of course Kosovo Serbs, by being part of Kosovo, are also part of Serbia :)

"...we've only confirmed what is written in the Constitution: that Kosovo and Metohija is an integral part of Serbia," Pantić concluded.

Sure, by breaking the same laws and constitution of the country you want to be a part of:

Belgrade negotiator Borislav Stefanović has described the referendum in northern Kosovo as "illegal and unconstitutional,..”

Haha, this is hilarious…

"The referendum will leave no trace in history nor will it have any results. In a way it was a partisan, ideological referendum that sent the wrong message that Serbs from the north cannot agree with their own state, and on the other hand it brought the state in a position to explain that its own citizens are not obeying their own government."
Borislav Stefanović you fail to understand that Serbia does not even control Kosovo at the moment, so the people of the north had to take matters into their own hands.

Ok Borko, I came to a conclusion and I think these hoodlums will like to become stateless just like Gypsies, which is fine with me.

There's a new book coming out titled "History of Serbia's Demise: Failure upon failure to work together". Its going to be a best seller! The world is curious as to how a nation like Serbia can be so bad at working together for the benefit of the greater good LOL

Time for them to declare a new border on the basis of this self determination result.

The UK is arguing for self determination in the Falklands where far fewer people are involved.

The case here is clear. A defacto partition exists, and the natural border needs to move south. The people of NKosovo are simply retaining their original birthright on the basis of proximity.

This does not set any precedent.

The current political status of Kosovo is a mess and ill-defined as being somewhere between a province of Serbia, an international protectorate, an invaded territory, and a racially based attempt at a udi by people of an ethnicity of a neighbouring country.

Recognising the north as being ruled by Serbia would at least tidy one aspect of the mess.

Hey Boris,Some of your boys in Brussels don't view the Serbs in the KiM as Serbian citizens. They can't have it both ways. Make Brussels take a stand and exploite the E.U. rift.

There can not be a abulic stand-by Solution for northern Kosovo. Serbs there must not give in now. They themselves, since Belgrade is obviously more concerned with Brussels, have to push forward for a solution now. With any delay they will get more and more forgotten. THIS is the last chance for Serbs if they do not wish to be driven out of Kosovo.

Hopefully this show of "the will of the people" will derail some road to nowwhere. The people who really matter and who feel extremely unhappy and put into a position that they did not ask for have expressed their honest opinion and should and will not be ignored or swept under the carpet. So much for the multi-ethic and peaceful EU paradise called "Kosova".

No, it's not inconsequential. Now you know that these individuals will not accept KosovA. If you try to for KosovA on them, they will probably declare independence, which as we now know is perfectly legal to do.
