Stable? with the RBS manipulating the price, one would expect it to be more stable than it is. Where would it be if the bank hadn't dumped 78m euro into proping it up? Truly pathetic....

The Bosnian currency does not float on the market instead it's a currency board regime tied to the Euro. That means that Euro serves as a reserve (similar to gold)to the Bosnian mark, because of that the Bosnian Central Bank must give 1.95 euros per mark on demand and cannot dictate monetary policy. So it's stability is cosmetic as it's stable only to euro.

Not bad if you compare it to the times of high inflation in Serbia. But still, even though averybody is talking about the crisis of the Euro, it is still the most stable currency. And since the Bosnian Convertible Mark has a fixed exchange rate to the Euro (1,95583BAM=1Euro) it is as stable as well. Everybody who sees "the end" of the Euro and EU should keep that in mind. :)

Checking the bandwidth of the currency exchange rates for Poland, Croatia, Romania and Serbia to the EURO, I cannot see anything especially stable or unstable within the last three years:

Serbia: 93-108
Poland: 3.8 - 4.8
Croatia: 7.12 - 7.63
Romania: 4.05 - 4.39
Albania: 128 - 144

with Serbia and Croatia currently being close to the 3-year low. And, surprise, surprise, the most stable currency to the EURO is the BAM (Bosnian convertible Mark) :)
