Like in good old times of communism when people opened the window in winter to get it a bit colder inside instead of lowering the heating temperature.
(Comm. Parrisson, 9 February 2012 14:05)

This is the old, uneducated Serbian or Croat way. The educated E.U. - Hungarian way is very different than that!

- you pay for the conversion to the new system based on gas, the old one (central heating) being so inefficient
- the price of gas going to Hungarian households becomes controlled by Italian company (ENI), same which owns the AGIP gas station chain. Thanks to E.U.-friendly neo-liberal thieves
- they raise the price because they are now a (foreign) monopoly and now it is more expensive than in most E.U. countries, sure, much more expensive than in the States, you know, the Hungarian salaries are higher than American ones, this is 100% justified.

So that's the way to go for Croatia tomorrow and Serbia after tomorrow. E.U. has no alternatives, vivat E.U., we love E.U. so much.

Ah yes, even if you pay on-time their ridiculous rates the ENI will sometimes rudely call you to remind you that you have to pay. After a while my wife developed a habit to pay them late by intent - do they call you or not is question of your luck. But as the ex-PM Szarcsány Lopkó did once say: "if you find it expensive than your house is probably to big for you, sell it and move into a smaller one". What a nice man, I will certainly vote for him the next.

With 99% of government and EU financed BS propaganda full of lies of doom and gloom if we didn't join absolutely pathetic.
(Lenard, 9 February 2012 20:14)

They in EU are like a cursed: almost any gold they touch with their hands does turn to stinky crap. MALEV used to be THE best airline of Central Europe. The only who really benefit are the young who can immigrate in pursuit of better life. Can't blame them.

for you, Croats even more than for Serbs: joining E.U. will not only mean, the energy will be much cheaper than it is now, it will also mean great future for Croatian Airlines or JAT (like of MALEV) and that the garden fence of every household will be made of salami and the shore of milk-Danube will be made of honey.
(Tovarãºul Nicolae Mircescu, 9 February 2012 12:57) Ya E.U. is a another level of unelected governmental bureaucracy to milk the people and countries. You cant even throw out the biggest welfare social assistants political EU bums out. Hungarian MALEV air line just declared them self's bankrupt. Croatia Airlines saw a substantial increase in passengers numbers in 2011 with a increase of 1.2 million more tourist to Croatia best year ever. Croatia Airlines will pick up some of MALEV share of passengers as they are grounded. Salami don't forget also streets paved with gold just help your self. Only 30% of the eligible Croatians electorate voted for joining the defunct EU it should of not past. With 99% of government and EU financed BS propaganda full of lies of doom and gloom if we didn't join absolutely pathetic.

Really? Unbelievable that not even this has changed, 20 years after the fall of communism and the price hike of some 500% for all the energy.

"Tadić said that the poorest households should be exempted from payment of electricity for the month of February, but at the same time urged citizens to save electric energy."

Very smart. I'm sure people who don't have to pay for electricity will gladly save energy. LOL. Like in good old times of communism when people opened the window in winter to get it a bit colder inside instead of lowering the heating temperature.

Of course, that this would not be just a liberal propaganda, it is not free electricity, it will be paid out of taxes - from where it should be paid because poor people are not like their fault but lack of responsible behavior of state, that enables people to come to poverty. In these icy conditions, poverty is a threat to life, when one has no money to heat and avoid freezing.
