Thank you for being honest, Betty Johnston. But why would you stay working for the EU in Serbia when you can see it is only about lining others pockets and effectively even robbing (by locking out Serbian businesses from projects, for one) and manipulating Serbia and Serbs, all in the name of "help"?

The EU is Serbia’s biggest trade partner and 56 percent of the total trade is carried out with the EU member states.

Investments have decreased in the last two years due to the economic crisis. Around EUR 17bn has been invested in Serbia since 2011. 60 percent of the total amount came from the EU.

The EU has donated around EUR 2.2bn to Serbia in the last ten years, mainly for reforms in the judicial system, local-self government and medical services, refugees, combat against corruption and construction.

I SMELL LEVERAGE IN THE AIR... Can Serbia AFFORD to turn her back on EU and join IndoChina-Russia? Me thinks a resounding, NO!!!

I work with the EU in Serbia. 90% of the money "donated" pays for so-called experts (like me) who don't know a thing about Serbia, from the EU, working for EU consultancy companies to work on various projects. Serbian companies are not allowed to apply for almost any of these projects. The money also has a number of conditions tied to it as well for Serbia to make reforms specifically geared to the way dictated by Brussels. Most of that money does not stay in Serbia. But it's not just in Serbia, it's the same in Bosnia, Montenegro and FRY Macedonia.

Toilet paper listed as an important import good from the EU? Almost as funny as Kosovo's main export 'product', scrap metal :)

Of course it is important for Serbia. They use it to clean up all the s19t that the EU has made in helping the SFRY. I hear most of it is used in the most southern part of Serbia...

"Serbia imports oil, gas, cars and auto parts, medicines, coal, phones, detergents, toilet paper, electricity from the EU member states and exports steel, corn, frozen fruit, wires, cables, electric conductors, car tires etc."
