The MAlÉV story is not very funny, it's rather unbelievable how low they can fly. It used to be the best airline of Central Europe and I did fly their B767 to NYC (did beat American Airline or United easily and it was a very-very tough competition with your CSA, which one is (sorry, used to be) better I do not know, both were pleasure to deal with even compared with LH, certainly more child-friendly. Provided, you spoke Hungarian and for CSA the Russian was a good choice. The English-only speakers would probably chose LH or BA, not me.

Where we are right now is a shame and how / why did it happen I would open a criminal investigation. For instance, I find it quite odd than Orbán begun to feed MALÉV with state subsidies well-knowing ahead of time, Bruxelles won't tolerate it. Than (as expected) MALÉV was back-stabbed by his own ex-employee, now the head of the Travel Service

He was the one who complained in Bruxelles (in a true traditional back-stabbing way). The idiots in Bruxelles over-reacted and slapped MALÉV with a huge fine (very logical: you are not doing well and need government subsidies - so we slap you with a big fine, hope things will improve for you).

The latest the fine was known it was clear, MALÉV is on the life support. Still, the managers encouraged people to buy tickets. And.... Orbán did not put MALÉV for 2012 budget... did he know, there won't be MALÉV?

Now as MALÉV is no more... they don't need to pay the EU fine. Clever.

The MALÉV shutdown happened instantly after the morning machine was hold in Tel Aviv because the management was afraid that the departing machines will be hold at the host airports. So they screwed everyone. And of course, tell me that Tel Aviv was not intentional - of course a neat way to put some blame on the Dohány Street, even if there is none. Tell me, some friend in Tel Aviv of some MALÉV manager did not receve a phone call, just in time. Both traitors of their own kin and may they spend enough time on state budget food in Vác.

Orbán should be in the next cell to them, what a nice team to work for 10 years on license plates. But I am sure, he wants some airline ;)

A very nice gesture from Martonyi the regular visitor(member?) of Bilderberg group meetings. Also a very good sign meaning EU will go bankrupt very soon.Hungarians are masters of inviting you on board of something which will not exist within short period.Last week they were selling tickets for Malev flights and today if you go to their site this is what welcvomes you.

It is simply amazing to me that with all the EU's financial problems, that Tadic can continue to advocate Serbia's candidature to his electorate with a straight face ..... and is it really such a big deal that Hungary has finally deigned to become Serbia's "biggest supporter"?

It is also possible that the present EU members themselves may well find, to their horror, and well deservedly in my view, that their own EU membership itself may well turn out to be not quite so permanent and inviolate after all!
