"Dirty money, blackmail, pressure to recognize Kosovo"

Serbian FM Vuk Jeremić stated on Thursday that African countries which have not recognized Kosovo are still subject to strong pressure to change their stand.

""Dirty money, blackmail, pressure to recognize Kosovo"

Two observations can be made about this statement:

1. It is impossible. As sj has argued in these forums based on his/her brilliant economic and financial analysis, Kosovo and its supporters are all broke and on the verge of collapse so they can't have the money to bribe other countries;

2. Vuk is not doing his job, probably because he is part of a traitor government. If money can do the trick, what is he waiting to bribe those countries to not recognize Kosovo. As, again, sj's brilliant economic and financial analysis has shown in these forums, Serbia and its supporters (Russia, China, etc) are full of cash so it will be very easy for them to bribe those countries.

"Dirty money came from Serbia and Russia, we recall that Pacolli did worked especially in Russia so this is not ours. "
(Ahmet, 27 January 2012 16:14)

Yes, it's somehow bizarre that Pacolli made the dirty money he used to buy more recognitions from African countries in Russia. But that was before he became minister (bribe minister) in Kosovo. I think nowadays he's using money from Kosovo's state budget (i.e. donor money) for his 'lobbying'.

Dirty money came from Serbia and Russia, we recall that Pacolli did worked especially in Russia so this is not ours. By the way you always said that we aren't well educated so how come we print fake money without knowing the technology. Paradox is very common over there so we aren't surprised. But stop behaving so because you contradict to your own statements. And furthermore, Jeremic has to forget the candidacy to head of UN Assembly by speaking so.

"5. Keep the "islamist" card as a last resort in Kosovo. For years, Serbia has been pumping cash into the fundamentalist Islamic groups in Kosovo. "
(Classick, 27 January 2012 04:17)

Funny. It's more like Saudi Arabia is pumping cash into Kosovo for building new mosques. Furthermore, Kosovo Albanians are playing the 'islam card' lobbying Islamic countries (members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference) that they should recognize Kosovo because they share the same religion.

You are partially correct with respect to how little the USA actually cares about Albania or Kosovo. This situation is now a liability to them and the EU as evidenced by the more conciliatory statements being made. The elephant in the room is the fact the USA is pulling out of Bondsteel leaving the siptari with no one to fight their battles for them. Don't worry Serbians time is on your side

I am wondering if Jeremic went there with a bag full of cash?

Since they are accusing Kosovo of bribing the African countries, what if Jeremic is paying them not to recognize? He must've figured something out...

Jeremic's desperate strategy has all but exposed itself...

1. Use the Slavic connections: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus.

2. Use the Eastern Orthodox connections: Romania, Greece, Cyprus, Armenia.

3. Use the anti-NATO and anti-globalization sentiment with the BRIC countries.

4. Use the "for-old-times-sake" approach with the non-aligned movement. If the nostalgia does not work, bribe them (since they're pretty much at the bottom of the global food chain).

5. Keep the "islamist" card as a last resort in Kosovo. For years, Serbia has been pumping cash into the fundamentalist Islamic groups in Kosovo. These groups have been advocating against the recognition of Kosovo's independence directly with the Islamic countries, allegedly because of the ban on the head scarf in public institutions, and because of Kosovo's secular laws. It's only a matter of time before they receive the "green light" from Serbia! Wouldn't be surprised if they get mobilized this spring.

LOL and here I thought states recognized Kosovo because they support Albanian self determination or believe in Kosovo's right to sovereignty or whatever. And in reality, it's Pacolli throwing money at a number of governments. In the end, Pacolli's probably more intelligent than I thought. Why sell Kosovo when you can purchase recognitions? When was the last time Kosovo's foreign ministers did anything? Skender Hyseni and now Enver Hoxhaj are both useless. Money talks. How else did the Albanians get US attention in the 1990s? It certainly wasn't self-evident sympathy :)

It would be nice of African leaders who recognised Kosovo to come out and tell Mr Jeremic to his face that they recognised Kosovo without any pressure and no money and accuse him of accusing them for corruption without any proof.
(Mendo, 26 January 2012 19:01)

This would be nice, but not honest. Wasn't there a minister in one of these African countries who was even sued by local courts for corruption because he accepted dirty money from Kosovo's bribe minister Mr. Pacolli for recognizing Kosovo?

if you have the FM of Serbia that says such things I don't understand for what kind of "technical negotians on improved relations between Serbia and Kosovo" is EU talking about????

Why is Kosova even negoatiating????

How can Thaci find it normal to negotiate with people that say that you are looking your international affirmitaion via "Dirty money, blackmail, pressure"????

how can anyone ask Kosova to negoatiate with Serbia under such dirty attack???

Kosova needs to show some pride and behave as independent country. STOP THE NEGOTIATIONS WITH SERBIA NOW.

If I were an African leader I would ask that question to little Jeremic "Who are you that put pressure on us not to change our minds and lying to the public that we are taking dirty money..."? Have most of the EU countries that have recognised Kosovo independece from Serbian taken any money....?

I am glad he made the distinction from the pro Kosovo side it is dirty money and blackmail and pressure, from the Serbian side it is called politically and diplomatically engaged.
