I believe that expulsion of Albanians and murdering of civilians took place and that such things/crimes happened mostly in the areas of KLA activity.
(aaayyy, 27 January 2012 20:04)

Yes, I also believe many things, bu hey, who would care about that. All we know as a fact certified by judicial decision is that 700k Kosovo residents were forced to leave Kosovo in 1999 because of the actions of the Serbian Army.

"But Milosevic did about the same - sent Serbian police to Kosovo to consolidate power and make it possible for KSerbs not to leave Kosovo. Serbian police was regulary provoced, attacked, shot, killed by Albanian nationalists, it wasn't only once or twice, but on a regular basis.

I didn't know it, but I can believe that Serbian police in general had low level of professionalism, they either didn't react on provocations at all (were ordered not to react) or reacted on civilian population, not having ability or desire to destinguish fighters from peaceful residents."

Oh did they? you mean indiscriminate expulsion of Albanians and murdering innocent civilians was outside their job description? or do you believe none of that stuff happened and we just imagined it?

"Don't you think it wasn't wise to send Prishtina police to the NKosovo checkpoints?"

sending police officers to checkpoints can hardly be equated to ethnic cleaning can it?

To Classick:

Not all areas which want to be independent states could become independent states, they must meet some criteria. From all territories you mentioned only Slovenia met those criteria, Croatia didn't and Bosnia ABSOLUTELY didn't (what a state with a half of unloyal population).

"to observation: What makes you think that Milosevic was the only troublemaker in YU wars?
(aaayyy, 25 January 2012 23:30)"

aaayyy - Of course it was not only Milosevic, when he started the third Serb expansion by illegally suspended other nations' autonomy (Kosovo and Vojvodina) then attempted to do the same in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and so on. (First Serb expansion was in 1912/13, and the second after WWI).

He had help from the Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences (the masterminds) and all of his former Serb roommies in the Hague.

Wrong by nature? deary me....you're essentially saying i'm a racist. let me ask you this, will Serbs admit that Kosovar Albanians had legitimate reasons for greviences or were they lying? were the massacres faked (as i've read on this forum time and time again)? in fact, you have said things like, albanians missed a chance to leave Kosova for good and settle in the West in 1999, a very subtle way to support cleansing an entire territory of the people who lived there. no my friend, look in the mirror first before blaming dead Milosevic
(Nikolle, 25 January 2012 22:18)

Actually I've read Serbian posts on this forum and on the other forums where Serbs admit that Kosovar Albanians had legitimate reasons for greviences, why I honestly can't recall reading Albanian posts admitting that KSerbs had legitimate reasons for greviences, all I read is that all their greviences were Milosevic's propaganda. And I read posts which called for ethnic cleansing of KSerbs from the North if they "don't behave".

Nicolle,

So, your problem wasn't Milosevic, but Serbian people which are somehow wrong by nature. Great...

The Yugoslav wars were not a single man operation. Look at the comments in here and tell me the difference in their view and Milosevic's.

I wonder how Stefanovic took the news that now he must sell to the Serbs the fact that not having 1244 on the name of Kosovo is a Serbian idea and that they must force the Albanians to comply.

""Evil Milosevic" doesn't control Prishtina any more. Why couldn't you just stop making mess and troubles and start living for a change?"

I've grown accustomed to reading comments like this. Milosevic was not the one to cause all the mess, it was ordinary Serb attitudes. Evil Milosevic is gone true, Serbian viewpoints towards Kosovar Albanians haven't changed, that is the problem. p.s. NEVER again, what you had of Kosova you have lost and you've only yourselves to blame

Does Belgrade really think that Kosovo will give up its full independece from Serbia? If yes the Serbian officials REALLY NEED A GOOD HEALTH CHECK. I really mean it.
