Perhaps Serbia should do the same...you know, focus on improving the lives of its citizens rather than attempt to block any recognitions of Kosova

You know guys, the energy that a few of you spend trolling the site to get as many ups-and-downs as possible is very commendable. Unfortunately, it will not do much for you except make people like myself laugh at your expense. Like I said before Albanians, use your time and effort to improve Kosovo itself rather than worry about being recognized because abject poverty can ripen civil discontent.... which is slowly starting in Kosovo.

UN 1244 which says Serbia is Kosovo is still in place,Russia & China will assure that by vetoing anything about Kosovo,EU and NATO is blocked for "Kosovo" (thanks Spain,Greece,Romania) and whats best:
Americans are already discussing leaving Kosovo while China and Russia will in a few years have a economic-military monopoly over Europe...

Like the Germans say: "Who laughs at the end will laugh the best!"

You Hungarians should know that the best...

Your rambling shows how detached you are from reality. Unfortunately there are still too many serbs like you out there. The result is that you drag Serbia and everyone who lives there including Hungarians down.

Amer,

What you say is correct, however I don't view it so literally.

1)It is actually not a huge amount of $$$ that needs to be spent travelling and visiting Africa (I think we all can agree on that).

2) Of course the foreign minister has to say things like that and must make these countries feel important by speaking of them in such ways. He certainly cannot go and say that Ghana is not important and it doesn't really matter which way they vote, right?

Well Nauru cost Russia $50 Million USD to recognise Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Russia was also offering best friends Belarus $500 Million to recognise them two, but that got rejected; so we can establish that Belarus's asking price is higher.

I think the bigger question is, how can Pacolli afford these recognitions? He was meant to have about $4-5 Billion USD, he can't possibly have any money left if he is buy recognitions like you so boldly claim. A country similar to Belarus costs more than an 8th of Pacolli's total wealth, surely he an only afford 4-5 recognitions max?

Or maybe he is travelling the world and lobbying for recognition??? Ever thought about that instead of making outrageous claims??? That is his job in all fairness. It isn't feasible for Pacolli to "buy" all these recognitions as people like you claim. Not to mention that Ghana is probably Africa's best success story.

As you and your brethren are learning the hard way, it’s easy to get freedom with the help of a super power, the problem is now you have to govern and so far every indication is that your leaders are incapable of doing such things. So you are admitting that when Serbs were saying 140, 130, 120 etc countries do not recognize Kosovo, or when they say that more than 50% now do not recognize Kosovo, that those are really petty insignificant facts.

Look out everyone, the forum will be filled with Albanians cliaming another victory with a recognition of another third world country. Really guys, who cares at this point? The only scoreboard you need to watch for are these: Russia, China, Cyprus, Greece, Spain, etc... until then, keep popping the vino because that's all you've got at this point...

So you are admitting that when Serbs were saying 140, 130, 120 etc countries do not recognize Kosovo, or when they say that more than 50% now do not recognize Kosovo, that those are really petty insignificant facts. The significance relies on a core of 20-25 countries of which a vast majority already have.

For every small number nation there is a need for help from superpowers. Many nations of SE Europe including Serbia would not gain their freedom from Nazi occupation had USA and allies as well as USSR not land in Normandia and not moved to the west respectively. Learn some history please.

Unlike the usual tropical island states and corrupt African kingdoms Pacolli is usually 'lobbying', Ghana is indeed one of the few states in Africa that are not failed ones.

I thought Ghana's Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic said Ghana supports the territorial integrity of Serbia.

Message to Ghanan offcials:

I just want to say that recognizing Kosovo's sovereignty is kindness even thoughtfulness on your part. For the pro-independence Kosovars I say congratulations on now receiving 86 or 87 recognitions.

I wonder what's the price list for recognitions? Is it cheaper for Ghana or more expensive than average?
(aaayyy, 24 January 2012 20:45)

Who cares about thirld world countries ?! Serbia and Vuk in the first place ! You remember the grand fanfare meeting in Belgrade few months ago of non-aligned countries, movement of which Ghana is one of the distinguished members :)

No Russia or China= NO full UN recognition.
(Tomislav USA, 24 January 2012 15:24)

What is the definition of “full UN Recognition” ?! Could not find it in the UN charter !
----------

No Spain+Greece+Cyprus+Slovakia= No EU.
(Tomislav USA, 24 January 2012 15:24)

Who said that ?! Spain, Greece, Cyprus or Slovakia have never said it. Recognition or not of Kosovo as an independent state has nothing to do with EU membership. There are already many entities that are part of the EU and are not independent states.

I’m sure Vuk can answer that question with precision. He has traveled half of the globe and should be able to compare how much Serbia’s taxpayer money he has spent in each destination, including Ghana, for nothing.

(CG, 25 January 2012 15:45)

Your rambling shows how detached you are from reality. Unfortunately there are still too many serbs like you out there. The result is that you drag Serbia and everyone who lives there including Hungarians down.

Perhaps Serbia should do the same...you know, focus on improving the lives of its citizens rather than attempt to block any recognitions of Kosova
