Yeah let him out and give him even more incentive to delay this trial indefinitely. The thing that is crazy about all the comments that the length of the trial is somehow an injustice, is that nearly all of the delays have been caused by Seselj himself, and if he had been denied any one of the delays you would be in here ranting about them not giving him the necessary time to defend himself!

Seselj was in detention for 4 years before the trial even began, hardly in keeping with the right to a fair and timely trial enshrined in the charter of human rights that most countries supporting the hague are signatory to.

t sounds like he's dying under the current conditions. If his "trial" isn't completed soon he should be able to go back home to Serbia, and the "trial" could be completed by teleconference of something. He's already been there almost 9 years. Croat and Muslims who murdered Serb civilians have gotten less - if they even were prosecuted in the first place.

I think it is a slap in the face for the concept of international justice that supporters of Human rights such as myself who would be happy if Seselj was SENTENCED to live imprisonment are forced by this mockery of a trial to support his immediate release.

According to him, at a news conference attended by over 300 reporters on Wednesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov mentioned the Šešelj case "which is being ignored in Serbia."

You have to find it comical , that the Russians want to portray themselves as more Serb than the Serbs and the radicals who embraced the 'greater serbia' myth with such gusto , would allow serbia to be seen as the powerless little partner in some form of imaginery equal union with mother russia.

But hey , if that floats their boat go for it - the rest of us are enjoying the show :)
